Code, technology and law: talk by Gautam Bhatia

On 11 January 2020, legal scholar and practising lawyer Gautam Bhatia spoke about the relationship between technology, code and law. He referred to the works from his book “The Transformative Constitution: A Radical Biography in Nine Acts” to explain the concept of the technologized self, and how code infringes or enhances the law.

examples bhot rich hain....idea simple h ki tech ka khud dimaag nahi hota. agar structural inequalitites ko dhyan me rakhkar design nahi karoge to systemic faults systematic tareeke se aur badh jayenge. aur jo inequality, power imbalance etc pehle outer physical world me tha wo tech ke thruogh aur badh jayega, physical and virtual world dono me.
ek idea ye bhi h ki equality ko individual level se utha kar systemic level pe dekhna jaroori h varna deep seated inequalities bachi rah jayengi....tech banaane waale iska vishesh dhyan rakhei.
