Hey Prerna! Thank you for sharing as I have been trying so hard to find more references to QR and even QAS ground staffers' accommodation, stories, etc. Mostly one would come across cabin crew videos, and so this is very relevant!
You mentioned that you were promoted to Senior CSA, that would be Grade 4 yeah? So the room eligibility for a Grade 4 is still a sharing one? Can you opt to be a solo occupant??
Thank you so much Maria😀😀 I am so happy that you found my channel useful. This was the reason that I started mine because a lot of information on crew but not so much for ground staff 😅😅
Coming to your question- Unfortunately grade 4 must still share the room and only from grade 5 they are eligible for single rooms. 😅 It is annoying but it is what it is.

Hey yes the facilities are all the same but there are different buildings in different areas so some things can differ. Like one building can be near the market another could be near the laundry. Some buildings are new and thus have better facilities. Also each apartment has 2 rooms and one of them is the master bedroom so it depends on your luck. Hope this was helpful :)

Are we allowed to choose our roommate? 🙂 And where actually in Doha would be the accommodation located??
Initially it was that we were allowed to move for free. But later you had to pay 400qar to move. But then you can select your roommate.
Also if you are moving involuntarily like changing the building etc then you can request to be with your friend.
Accomodations are everywhere in doha. Some are near to the airport some are far. Some buildings are owned by watar airways and some are leased. So it really depends on which building is available and other things.

Haan ji bilkul milta hai. But apko company accommodation me nahi rehna ho to aap isk badle pese le kar bahar bhi ghar dhoond sakte hai

Ground handling agencies you can directly apply, to them. They conduct their own interviews and have a separate process. :)

Hey so since i never worked in india i am not super sure about the process. Even all my friends who worked in india got hired directly by indigo or spicejet so it wasn’t through agency. But I have seen other airlines handling department in qatar. They are calles QAS. They handle all airlines except for qatar airlines so for example british airways, air india, air moroco, turkish airways and so many more.
I will have to look into it in more detail though and talk to my friends who were working there. I will ask them and let you know. :)

Were u allowed to go home yearly
Ohh yes you get 30 days a year. You can go home for 30 but that’s rare as staffs dont get such long vacations approved and also they have discounted staff tickets so if you want you can also travel every week. Some of my friends usedto do that! No worries about going home!

Mam ur working in doha ? Or in india i mean qatar operation are ithere in india ?
I used to work with Qatar airways in Doha. They do have vacancy in India but that’s mostly for supervisors or higher positions . And also it’s only 1 or 2 per station so the whole Mumbai or Delhi airport will have only 2-3 direct Qatar airways staff the rest of the operation would be handled by the outsourced or handling agents. If you need more clarification let me know. :)
