Do you know if for trainings at the beginning can we also use pants ?
Yes ofcourse. It has to be formal. So pants. Or trousers are fine. Some of my friends even used to wear dresses. So semi formal kind of clothing but I suppose things might have changed after all this time. :)
That's a great video. One question about the uniform...do you also get a separate winter uniform like cabin crew does ? And I have seen them getting a pair of black leather gloves for winters. Is it really for winter layovers or just for fashion? I must say the look really chic and stylish. Do u also get them as ground staff ?
Aah you see Doha is in Middle East so it never gets cold. I mean even the winters are 20 or above and every place has AC so the uniform remains the same throughout the year.
I could say for cabin crew at least they have to travel to different countries with different weather conditions so may be it would make sense for them to have the gloves. So we as ground staff don’t get any!
Also for Qatar airways crew I had never seen any gloves but it’s been more than a year that I traveled with them. I know etihad and emirates has them.
Coming back to your question no ground staff doesn’t get any gloves. I think it’s more of fashion or looks and mostly doesn’t serve any purpose.

good day, please i have few questions .
you said they will check for tattoos even for a ground staff, i have one tattoo on my upper arm, not even showing if i put on a short sleeves.
then as a man i have a piecing in one ear which i dont usually use earring though, will that be and issue .. thanks i anticipate your response
Hey! Yes they check for tattoos but as long as it’s covered in uniform it’s not an issue. So if it’s under your shirt it’s no issue for ground services . Piercing as long as you don’t wear it at work is fine. Hope this helps 😊

Could you specify if it’s mandatory for hair to be long and put up in a bun, or if short hairstyles are allowed. Is hair colouring allowed? Do we get winter outfit? Do they give grooming classes? Is makeup mandatory?
I currently live in Qatar and the winter temperatures here (especially at night) go well below 20 degrees. What are the work timings?
What colour stockings?
Short or long both type of hair is fine. Hair color is not allowed (including henna) we have jackets for all seasons and weather so no specific winter outfit. Grooming lessons are given by the company. And yes make up is mandatory and we even have grooming officers who checked our makeup before we started work. And if there was something wrong with it they would ask you to correct it if not they can send you home as well.
Airports are open 24*7 so you also have to work all days everyday. That’s one of the first requirements of the job that you must be flexible with the timing. That being said we have roster for each month so you would get 2 off days each week but not necessarily thurs fri sat or sun but any 2 consecutive days of the week. And yes you have to work night shifts as well.
Stockings are skin color or transparent but you can choose to opt for pants if you aren’t comfortable with wearing stockings.

Is it compulsory to wear skirts??
And is double piercing allowed??
No you can wear trousers. Skirts weren’t so comfortable for me either so I mostly used to wear trousers.
Peircing you can have as many but at work you can only wear pearl studs in the lowest pearcing. And all other have to be clean. No other earrings.

It was held in BOM on 27th September. And the account got updated last on 18th October

Aww yea it does take quite some time. It took me about 6 months to get in Doha and some of my friends even longer like about 8 or so.
It’s an interesting experience. Meeting people from all over the world. It would be easier for you as you might be speaking Arabic (if I am not wrong) so you get the best of both English and Arabic. It is after all an Arabic country.
I am not so sure about the uniform though because the call centers are not in the airport but outside so may be you will get to wear formals and will have less rules about your uniform which is fun.
Do take some formal clothes with you for the beginning that is during the training period about one to two months.
