not as good as the monitor audio platinum 500 G2 and that speaker was only 32,000 US it'll absolutely destroy this speaker and anything Sonus Faber makes
I have listened to pretty much every video on this channel with a decent pair of focal headphones and I definitely enjoy these amati g5s the best. Obviously we can't get a sense of how they image or any of the magic from being there, but comparatively to some of these other refrence speakers, these have incredible tone. Prefect balance of airy top end without being sibilant

It seems there is additonal reverb. This especially amplified/enhanced in the demo with the B&W Nautalus, playing Sarah Mclauchlan. Is this due to the flooring? Beautiful system, so not knocking the equipment. It is far better than I'll ever own and appreciate the demo. Incredibly beautiful audio components and speakers. Thanks for sharing.
I've been just listening this on my Technics SUR 1000 and with B&W 805 D 4. Mind blowing!! How good will this sounding with the original equipment as it shows in this video. Amazing!! Superb music track as well. The Trumpet ...!!! Thanks a lot, this is making my day.
Can't be that much better, can it? Your B&W 805 and Technics SU-R1000 are probably capable of competing with products many times more expensive and are considered the pinnacle of audio engineering and quality.

it’s a beautiful system, I wonder why they are using the floor protection pads under the coupling spikes that would normally dig through the carpet.If you’re protecting the marble floor underneath, you should put those pads on the floor in Sandwich the carpet in between the coupling spikes and the pads

I have these exact same speakers, I love them. I currently am using a McIntosh MC462 but am seriously considering the MC451's - does the bi-amping, tube/solid state make a huge difference in your opinion?

The Amati G5 will be way better, B&W are a little bit edgy and bright, Sonus Faber are more natural sounding. and the monitor audio gold and platinum are even better than both of those speakers maybe you should check them out The new G3 are phenomenal sounding, and even the monitor audio platinum G2 which are available at a discount price now are better than both of those speakers

One way to look at this is: synergy. I'm not saying that the B&W would be a mismatch, but it is known that McIntosh and SF are a great match.
