This is a great system, excellent synergy, good sound from the speakers/room that have the greatest loss potential. Even when listening online at lower resolution, room and speaker coloration are clearly audible, and common experience. This system sounds really good on my end, remarkable!
It would be interesting to hear the same song played from an i-phone connected to the pair of active speakers in the same room and recorded with the same equipment - that would give us a clear idea of the added value of this expensive system 🙂
I can appreciate the gear. I am an audio engineer and can tell differences others may not notice. I have a nice set over here with an older Fisher amp and Bose speakers. No matter how it sounds coming out of your speakers, it will only sound as good as my speakers, or should I say, your setup is colored by the playback system and the only real way to demo this equiptment is with the listener where your microphones are.
It’s an interesting sound. I think I’d need to spend a lot of time getting used to the system to see how flexible it is. It has a bit of a sound hall like sound.
