  • This is a video about my May 2019 overnight hike to Pollett's Cove in the Aspy Wilderness in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It is a difficult hike but had great surprises which are why we go hiking. I hope you enjoy the video, and come to Nova Scotia.

Nice seeing this older video of such a special place. Pre-pandemic … like a different universe. That’s Otter Brook, btw, not Half Way Brook as mentioned in the video. Thanks for the great video!

What an excellent adventure full of laughs- reminds me of the book "Through Deepest Nova Scotia."

Hey Mark, I just found your channel. You really know how to travel and take adventures. This hike looked like a blast. Have you ever hiked any of the Coastal Trail in Northern Ontario? One of my favorite places to hike. I retired last July and have preparing for my adventure. In February of 2020, I will thru hike and V-logg the Appalachian Trail. Can't wait! I have a few hiking related videos on my channel and will make a few more before my hike.
I just Subscribed and will look for more of your videos. (Us retired guys have to support each other LOL)
    Great job!

Thanks. Polletts Cove is a great hike, and probably the best of my videos so far. No I havent hiked in Ontario. Nova Scotia Nfld and a lot in Maine NH Vermont and the Adarondacks in NY. Have hiked quite a bit on the Apalation Trail including a section hike in Virginia, see video. Good luck with your AT adventure. We plan more section hike on AT but will not tackle full trail. Have completed 2 through hikes on European Trails.
Hace 2 more Alps videos to finish off and post soon.

Hi Mark..I've been hiking all over, Pollett's Cove is no easy feat..I'm back over in Main-A-Dieu, finding old roads that lead to views that take my breath away..Always taking my two dogs with me. They enoy a good tenting experience as much as me..Hopefully I'll make it back to the other side of the Island in late spring of next year..I really enjoyed the video, I can't wit to see the next one..Di
