I’ve not been able to abide overhead lights my entire life due to a pituitary adenoma. Even harsh sunlight affects me negatively, and I prefer overcast, cloudy or rainy days. I’m a pluviophile. What a lovely home Greenway is! Thanks for presenting it to us! Blessings! 😊
That’s really interesting I just assumed it was more cosmetic than an illness but t could be! I need to look into it a bit more now the steward told me she didn’t like them.
Sarah, what a absolutely wonderful video tour! I love Agatha Christie and have admired other pictures and videos of Greenway. Yours is so pleasant and personal and it made me feel as though I were walking and exploring Greenway! Loved that there weren't a bunch of visiting tourists and people crowding the view so you could almost feel you were there by yourself! What a treat that must have been. I live in Dallas, Texas in the USA and may never get to England, so thank you for this very FAVORITE video that I can enjoy over and over again.
Hi Sarah, Great video thank you! Really enjoyed your commentary. I am thinking of visiting Greenway this year. The house and ground are very reminiscent of Chartwell in Kent the home of Winston Churchill. They also have a very nice restaurant they’re serving good meals. Look forward to my visit soon, thanks Alan 😊
Awe yes I also loved Chartwell it was one of my faves I have a video on that too 🥰 lanhydrock was amazing too even tho that video didn’t seem as popular so maybe people don’t like it as much? But I thought it was gorgeous.
Thankyou so much for taking the time to comment how did you find it? It’s quite nice to know the history before going I always end up doing it after and I should do it before really!
Thanks for the beautiful grand tour! I, myself am a professional artist/illustrator/painter and pianist/composer and love visiting the lovely homes of famous artists! She like so many other famous artists created a heaven on Earth. Her piano is beautiful and a field of garlic, fascinating! ♥♥
Gorgeous video. Excellent visuals and content. This is the most comprehensive of any video I have ever seen of Greenway. Thank you! - I will be visiting Greenway during the International Agatha Christie Festival 2024.
Thankyou for such kind comments! Ah I didn’t know about the festival I have had a lot of views on this video tho so definitely a lot of people searching up Agatha Christie right now 🥰🙏🏻
She wrote so lovingly about her houses... And about regretting not having added a small, modern kitchen, instead of leaving that part of the house untouched (as she had not foreseen a time without maids).
@@ExplorewithSarahlouise After the war, she had to deal with the Almiralty. They had installed 14 toilets, and Agatha was prepared to keep one (and the Almiralty would pay to remove the others). In the end, they were all removed. She tells all about it in the Autobiography, which is one of my favourite books.
@@RM-tc9pu Thankyou please feel free to share all the stories I did the research I could and listened to the stewards but no doubt it only touches the surface :)
The national trust bad drones sadly Altho I’ve seen ppl say they have just set them off from other places and still gone over. I’m unsure on the rules!
