I lost my dad suddenly in 2015. I miss him so much still! I wish it wasn't so painful but every year around this time I struggle to cope. He was a single dad for a lot of my early childhood. He sacrificed so much for me and I never got to thank him or say goodbye but this song makes me feel like I can in some strange way. It's sung so beautifully, it's an amazing song.

My parents are in their 50s and have been to hell and been back taking care of him and us collectively. My brother is currently in rehab, but I know one day these feelings will resonate with all of us.
Not sure how old your kids are, but once they’re adults, those are your closest friends. Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and show them things like this. I didn’t have a close relationship with my father until recently when he’s opened up and it’s changed my life. ❤ wish the best for you man.

Been reading all the lovley comments from sons and duaghters who loved their daddy. I have to play this once a month just to release the love for my father. Wow he was a great man like all your fathers were. But i want to share this. My father sadly passed away in hospital with me and my sister it was the most serial feeling. I told him dad, you can go now its ok, then he stoped breathing, we were thanking him for everthing he had showed us. His heart stopped, he then opened his eyes looked for me found my eyes, they said good by then they closed. It was heavenly and special. I type this with streams of tiers. Its still so strong the bond we had and always will be until its my time.

Lost my dad at 17 he was 37 and that was 13 years ago, I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with him but enough to miss him everyday especially as I get older and have two kids of my own. Love you dad I’ll be right there with you and Jesus one day I’ll make sure of it.

I lost my old man 10 years ago today. I was 22 he was 48, I’m 32 today. And it hurts to think how young he really was. And there’s not a day I don’t think of him. He taught me everything he could, before he past, we lived in two different countries the last couple of years he lived. So I didn’t get to see him much. The night before he past, I got to hear him say he loved me for the first time. I am who I am today because of him. He made me the man I am today. And I can’t thank him enough, and as a father now, I can only wish I can teach my son the same things he taught me. I miss him, and I hope he is proud to see how far I’ve come because of him. It ok my friend I lost my mom due to drugs died on the bus no nod can around detective came past my home and told me I was hurt real bad I had a few words for my mom years before she passed but I became an correctional officer and I was surrounded by addicts of all kind and it was just an addiction I forgave her and I truly understand stay blessed

I lost my dad in a tragic car accident the same day he found out his Cancer was in remission. I had just turned 18. He was so happy that day after I watched him suffer through rounds of chemo and drug addiction for years. I miss him everyday. I wouldn’t wish loosing a parent at this age on anyone. I eventually fell to drug addiction as well. After 9 years of using, I now have 6 years clean and 3 beautiful daughters. He would be so proud 😢 RIP Daddy. Happy Fathers Day in Heaven 😊

We lost our father on May 6, just a little more over a month ago. He was 94 years young. We (7 siblings) 😢 took shifts being with him when they sent him home from the hospital for hospice care. My two brothers were wonderful. When I hear this song, I cry every time.We were with him until the end, 10 days later we said our final goodbyes. We miss you so much Dad! ❤️ Love you

This was absolutely beautiful 🙏my dad just suffered a severe heart attack and what kills me the most is we made it the hospital doors and he collapsed in front of me and I was told to go run and get help by mom I turned him over and seen his soul about to leave his body, I ran off to help and I never said i love you before i left, im sorry dad, I love you, and miss you very much 😭 rest in peace

I wont forget getting the phone call and rushing to the hospital only to walk in and find other family crying their eyes out. I saw him on the bed and knew i couldnt see what the doctors did to him in order to give him a few more mins. I turned away and left without saying a word. I knew my dad my dead.

My dad died last year in October a few days after my birthday from kidney failure.. Then a month and a half later I became a dad and my little beautiful girl Zendaya was born, me and my dad weren't that close and didn't talk much, so please guys no matter how much you and your parents fight just always talk and hug it out cause family can disappear in a flash.
