Helpful and no nonsense review. Showing that you modified that weird effect on setting 4 is excellent to know! I didn’t see a review like this anywhere so Thank You and Play On ❤
Thank you for this review! I love my Acoustic Nova Go, and was helpful to see the changes in this model since it's release, as I'm planning on getting this one soon. Cheers
One of these is, hopefully, coming in the mail tomorrow for me. Thanks for the review. Ill check out your other videos on it. Just picked up the guitar a few mpnths ago and the one I found in a basement is not up to the task haha
Great review - and definitely helpful! I bought the SP1 recently, and having no guitar experience at all I am starting from scratch. I'm glad I bought it. I especially liked the chorus effect you added using the app. I will do that with mine! Look forward to future videos on the SP1.🙂🎶
I was really on the fence. It was either going to be the black (which most guys seem to reach for) or the white. A month and a half into it and I’m still glad I settled on white.
Thanks I have my Sp1. I noticed you have an app lesson that I need to watch. I have paired the guitar with the app and doesn't seem to be much there to me so this lesson will be helpful. Also how do you hook it up to your Ipad? What app were you using for the different sounds you did on the guitar on your iPad? Sorry to be so simplistic but I am mostly an acoustic player. I have an electric and large amp but the Nova Sp1 was for travel mostly for me. Thanks again for your great videos on TH-cam!❤
thx for the review! Any special to mentioned about the strings? Metal, not Nylon, I suppose. Is there a truss-rod for neck adjustment? What about replacement strings? Are they easy to get or are they a speciality, difficult to hunt? tia
Really useful review. Good to know that there is no more distortion option in the effects in the app. I'm curious with those effects. Is there is a way to have or custom a more rock like sound? And also, did you test a bit the bluetooth feature? How did you find the sound when you play music through the guitar? Is it enough loud to play with a backing track?
@@tabbenmishima9186 thanks for watching. When I had more time I was mostly using Cubasis but I find I can work much faster sketching ideas on the fly with Garage Band.
i got the same experience on my nova go sp1. i tried connecting usb c to my android phone or windows laptop to no avail. no software can detect the sound but usb is recognized by both laptop and phone
Thanks for revieing though I am put off straight away getting one due to the looks of these things the colour ones look cheap and toyish but the grey one looks the business.
Thanks for watching. I was going to go for the black/charcoal grey one but decided last minute to go for the white. I’m actually really glad I did. Looks better in person.
One should only adjust the truss rod if required. It’s not a quick and simple procedure so if needed, one should look up a video that specifically covers that, for any guitar. In fact, most should leave that to a professional that is used to tuning up guitars, it’s easy to mess up a guitar if you don’t know what you’re doing.
it doesn't have to be specific. just look up "how to adjust action with truss rod" all guitars have the same rule. left to tighten the rod, right to loosen.
I don’t have the correct tool to measure the string height. For playing it seems slightly higher than an electric. Easier to fret notes compared to my Fender acoustic.
Hello! Thank you fro your video, very informative! But I have a question - I connect my enya guitar via usb-c to my IPad. And if I want to play on GarageBand, for example, I have a big feedback in enya speaker. How can I fix this?
I've never been able to get the guitar to work direct to my iPad using a USB cable directly, only with using a regular guitar patch cable and audio interface.
@@ar-gnostic999 Yes, as mentioned before I’ve never been able to get this work on iOS devices. Enya support has told me they are working on a fix but that was almost a year ago. Only way for now is using a guitar cable and audio interface for iOS.
I read a bunch of reviews which encouraged me to sand down the bridge a little to lower the action. I just clamped it between a couple of boards with just the amount I wanted off sticking out, so it was me proof. It now has the action of an electric, no lie.
Hi, I am not sure how you connected the guitar to your iPad to use garage band sounds? Thanks for any input. Also how did you connect the headphone amp directly to a pa? Is it from the box to amp or headphones to amp?
Compared to my Fender acoustic, about the same (normal). Some seem to want this guitar to play like an electric guitar so they either sand down the bridge or replace with a shorter one. I’m not a regular full time guitarist, my main instrument is bass guitar and I’m having zero issues playing it.
Have you tried using nylon strings? I had some pickup issues when I received the guitar. As in the pick up would not pick up anything. I took the amp out and replugged the pick up wire not that it seemed to need it but that did the trick. Today o changed to nylons to see how they would sound and never considered the pick up may require metal strings. Would you or anyone else here be able to shed some light on this?
The trouble with it having so many features is that every review I can find is filled up with explaining/demonstrating em.. nobody's spoken about how it actually feels to play..
As the author of this video, thanks for watching. It plays great. The neck action and string height feels halfway between an electric and full size acoustic. This past weekend I picked up one of my regular acoustic guitars and noticed it felt harder to play for some reason, like harder to hold down some chords cleanly. I hadn’t realized how much easier it was on the Nova Go. Now I’m 6ft tall, a guy with long hands compared to a shorter player and it feels great fretting notes and chords. It’ll be fine for anyone with smaller hands but large chubby hands and fingers may be a little bit of an issue.
Is there anybody here that knows how to replace the battery of Enya Nova go sp1? And can you give any recommendations of what battery to buy? I just got my Enya Nova go sp1 guitar and used it in a gig for the first time. During my first set, there was no problem but when I was about to play for my 2nd set, the battery suddenly dies therefore I tried to recharge it for another 30min but nothing happened. Now my Nova guitar is useless and I have no idea how to change the battery. I tried reaching out to the store where did I bought it and requested for a replacement but they weren't responding to me.
It’s a good question that has two components. 1. Does the regular 1/4” guitar cable and internal mic /pickup work when the battery is dead and 2. Will it work while charging? I’ll let you know once I’m able to perform that test and pin the comment.
Btw, after a more in depth look, its actually 10 hour battery life when using on board effects and supposed to be up to 20 hours if just plugging into an amp and playing.

Any strings for acoustic should do. If you search YT there is a video or two on using nylon strings.

A question for you: why is there the truss rod if the carbon guitar has no sensibility of atmosphere modification?
Thanks for watching. Some may adjust fo to minor imperfections in construction, or to counter the tension effect on the next, etc.
So you can adjust to your personal preferences and also so you can adjust for higher or lower string gauges.
What about Playability as compared to conventional acoustic guitars?
Playability is great. Easier than full size acoustic. Might only be an issue if you have really big hands.

Hey I usually play and record Percussive Fingerstyle on my wooden acoustic guitar. Is this guitar good for percussive on the body?
