About NewsRadio:
At New York City's WNYX, newly hired manager Dave Nelson has his work cut out for him. Excited about such a high-profile assignment, Dave first sets out to fire his predecessor, which station owner Jimmy James has failed to do. But once that's done, there are more challenges ahead, thanks to a staff that includes headstrong on-air personalities Bill McNeal and Catherine Duke, high-strung writer Matthew Brock, offbeat secretary Beth, imaginative and tech-savvy electrician Joe Garrelli, and Lisa Miller, a veteran producer who thinks she should be running the show. Whether fighting to ban smoking from the newsroom, struggling to allocate staff bonuses during a budget crunch, or dealing with sexual affairs in the workplace, the enthusiastic yet naïve Dave looks to hang on to his old Midwestern values as he learns to cope with the new challenges of big-city life.

This show got me through some dark times. Still comforts like a warm blanket and a hot bowl of chicken soup. Laughter really is the best medicine.
Bought the series but when phill Hartman passed it really hurt the show bad
I can't believe that after nearly 30 years I'm just now discovering this show. I knew about it back in the day but never saw it. It holds up extremely well today.
Wait until you see the episodes with Patrick Warburton! 🤣
well written and well acted
good ensemble
too much laugh track though
Welcome to the club
Jimmy James , a great character
Jimmy James--the character no nice, they named him twice.
Jimmy James - a great track from the Beastie Boys.
"But Jimmy has fancy plans, and pants to match!"--Quote from the episode Super Karate Monkey Death Car.
I always loved Dave and Lisa together 😢
Me too.
Once they split up, I more or less lost interest in the show.
Lisa could of done alot better
They loved you too.
@@willymaykit1482 🥺
@dickborg452 Yeah until you get to the bullshit with Stewart
One of the best things on this show was there was no long drawn out will they won't they between Dave and Lisa. They did it in the second episode which I think is a record for sitcoms. Too bad they broke them up in the last few seasons. They were great together.
Thanks for the spoiler, you doofus.
This show was incredible.
Phil Hartman made the show!!!💔🕊️
Jon Lovitz killed it
RIP Phil Hartman
Beth is so funny too!
i am in love with BETH
2:08 joe- way to go dude, i can't believe you pulled it off
Now Joe actually has a billion-dollar empire
God I miss the 90s
Gosh Dave Foley looks about 16 here!
He looks like an old lady now
The show was so much better when Dave and Lisa were dating in the first few seasons.
Still the most rewatchable show of all time
You guys should do 3rd Rock From the Sun 😉
that show is hilarious
I somehow never watched this, and Joe Rogan is in it? Awesome!
Maura Tierney was very sweet and pretty 😘
she will be hot for life....
She always seemed so down in every role she played though. Hardly ever smiled. Looked like she just found out that her dog died. Mooseport and Liar Liar , I don't think she smiled once in either of those films.
Excellent show from all that time ago. Thank you for posting.
Dave Foley is a cool guy
12:45. Mr James - is it just me, or does this party suck
Maura Tierney and Dave Foley had great chemistry on this show.
Took the place of WKRP funny, beautiful women etc.
Same type of workplace, totally different vibe
Bailey and Jennifer😊
Loved WKRP!!!
@@Allyson158 According to Yasser Arafat, WKRP was the number one hit show in Palestine - at least that's what he told Merv Griffin on SCTV.
This show should definitely get a reboot
With new actors? No thx, there is no one that could replace them. Also Radio Stations, TV Studios and Newsrooms are not a thing anymore, you'd need to show youtubers and Influencers instead but they don't have the same infrastructure and staff around them, would be a total different show.
@@pfzt We have already done that. Icarly
I first discovered this show while it was on syndication at FOX. But somehow the last season was still being aired on NBC and I managed to catch some episodes live since they were constantly changing time slots.
This show needs a reboot
I wish I was Dave with Lisa
Stephen root is a funny guy
"I believe you have my stapler..."
So who's done it in the office while everyone else was out to lunch?
Thanks.
I need to see the one where Joe takes off his suit to reveal a cut off tee-shirt ready to fight? Anyone, anyone?
Season 3 episode 6 Awards Show.
1:24. Matthew - oh my God
Saw this episode a couple weeks ago.Hilarious and not inappropriate
Crazy to think a Kids In The Hall alum was castmates with crazy Joe Rogan.
Only in the 90s, am I right?
Why?
Do you know what the word "crazy" means?
Actually, Dave’s been on The Joe Rogan show.
Child support payments can change attitudes when you have to leave your country of origin.
@@johnburns9634 Aw man, really? Guess I can't blame him for chasing paper given his crazy Canadian divorce.
@@ETownLive On the show they talked about 'The Wrong Guy', a movie that was signed off by the studio head. Then the Studio head leaves, and the next guy comes in with "No new money for movies."
Joe thought it was a brilliantly funny movie, perfectly cast. It didn't do well without advertising.
According to the DVD commentary by creator Paul Simms, director James Burrows, a veteran TV director, tried to convince Simms to slowly roll out the romance between Lisa and David over several episodes. Simms, however, was determined to have the relationship begin faster and then deal with how they keep it secret from the rest of the station staff.
BUTTAFUOCO
Boy, Lisa didn't take getting passed over well at all, did she? And when she finally got the job--at only to help Lisa get back at Dave, it all turned out to be her worst nightmare, didn't it?

😂😂😂
News booth?
Newsthescout it’s a great sport show from blue pictures television.
Hilarious gaffe
Be nicer without the audio track running quietly in the background that's loud enough to hear.
Is Joe Rogan bisexual? He looks it
Why do all the women in that TV era have flat chests?
