    Austin, you are my go to guy whenever Im trying to spice up my productions. And I have always thought that your channel had at least one million subs until one day, I realized it was not the case. This channel is great, I almost certainly NEVER ever leave comments on youtube, but I can't let this words go uhmmm... unsaid (haha sorry for my english, hope that makes sense). Keep it up man, this channel provides lots of valuable and super worth content. If anybody new sees this comment, I suggest you check everything that this guy has created. You will get not only get valuable information but loads of presets and awesome samples!
    As for you, keep it up. Love the content. And lets all celebrate virtually when you get to those million subs that this channel deserves. Cheers from Argentina!

    • @bdubzproduction5597
      @bdubzproduction5597 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mix as fast as you can then take a 30 min break. Then come back and fix it a little bit more, and repeat :) dont wanna let your ears get tired, they are muscles too :)

    • @bdubzproduction5597
      @bdubzproduction5597 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bdubzproduction5597 thank you! It sucks falling in love with a song during the creative process then losing that during the mixing process. I'll make sure to try the 30 min technique !

    • @zachary963
      @zachary963 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jon Simon i try to decide where I’m going with it. For instance, do I want the bass in-your-face or mellow? That way I have a goal I’m working towards. I feel like that helps.
      I also like working in groups. So I’ll gain stage, take a break. Then do corrective EQ, take a break. Then compress/eq subbusses, take a break. Compress individual tracks, take a break. Reverb, take a break. You get the idea. You put your brain in one space and then move on when your done.
      Another trick is to not second-guess yourself. When I started, I would spend 45 minutes just Eqing a vocal. You don’t usually need that kind of attention! Nowadays I highpass, pull out any obviously nasty frequencies like boxiness, maybe a single wide boost for flavor, and then move on. That way I take care of the big stuff. Maybe later, after compression or something, I’ll come back and fix those little things that I’ve noticed later on.

    • @jonsimon3484
      @jonsimon3484 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zachary963 Awesome! It sounds like I need to start taking more breaks. Thanks for the reply!

Everybody does only trap or hip-hop, singers like Ed Sheeran or Lewis Capaldi who are more acoustic but unfortunately there's nothing about them. Oh and also to the extreme do "how to make a NF or Eminen or Logic..." that would also be great. I really want you to make of this kinda artist cause I learn some much with you and a like what you do
