The difference with the M6S and the M6S HD are the switches (Kailong vs Omron) as well as because of the HD Rumble the battery life is affected. The standard rumble has a battery time rating of 17hrs, while the HD Rumble has a battery time rating of 15hrs.
@@grimjimbo2059 Look at the website, both have mechanical switches but the switch themselves is from a different manufacturer(supposed to be a better switch)
I have the white HD version and they fit PERFECTLY in the Tomtoc split pad pro case from Amazon. The slim Tomtoc case, with no pouch but just a game card flap. So if you have a bigger Split pad pro case it will fit just fine as well. I was shocked how perfectly they fit. No thumb stick click when you put pressure on the top either. I ordered the HD version on Mobapad’s website and it took about a week to ship from China to CA.
I appreciate this comment. Just to confirm you do have the Mobapad 6 HD and it fits in the Tomtoc Hori split pad pro case on Amazon? I believe it's $32 US. Thanks.
The HD's have linear HD rumble which is expensive. You can look them up and factor in economies of scale. Plus the switches are upgraded to Omron switches and those are also more expensive than the Kailong in the M6S. Omron's give you 10million plus clicks and are used in higher end mice like Logitech Superlight's. Better parts = more money. It cost me $12 USD to replace 1 linear rumble in my Joycon just for perspective. It cost me $15 to replace 2 switches in in my mouse (Japan manufactured Omron).
Hey man, big fan! I need to correct you tho, since you are making a big point out of it. It's not only the rumble that sets M6S and M6S HD apart, the M6S HD has 'Omron Microswitch' while MS6S has 'Standard Microswitch' (their wording) as mechanical keys.
I made a video covering the M6 HD and the buttons are soon nice. Check it out if you're interested. I don't know much about the differences in the mechanical buttons so if you could discuss that in my comments it would be cool to see how my viewers engage. Thanks for the info.
Recently got mine this week and I couldn't be anymore happier. My Switch has been stuck with the joycons it came with christmas of 2017 and it was one of the main reasons I often played in docked mode. Now that I got these new ones though? Completely different story!
Same! I wonder how these compare size wise. They look like they may be similar in size to the original hori. Those were too big for me. Compacts are perfect!
@@SimplyLeah313 honestly, anything that has the similar form factor of the split pad compact with actual added functionalities is a huge win! They almost got it right lol
Thanks for the great review. Thinking about getting these as I find the joy cons a bit small, so don't play in hand-help mode much. One question, how do they perform with motion games - Switch Sports, House of the Dead, Arms, etc. - as those games always get loaded up when we have friends round? Thanks again,
Ok bro, order placed. I like the looks of it. I currently have a CRKD Nitro Deck Crystal and while its nice, the sticks I think over the long haul are going to be an issue for me so I am looking for something else. This looks good and I winded up ordering the HD version. Not only better rumble but the buttons are designed to last 2x as long. Thanks for doing this and enjoy the sale. Loved this review and hopefully this will be good.
@@caetanodantas4880 It's going really really good. I love them. I winded up returning the Nitro Deck so I would highly recommend them. Super comfortable and just fits so nice in the hands.
The hardest part to swallow when it comes to the price, (especially with the HD version,) is the lack of centerpiece. I play a great deal in handheld mode, but it would be nice to be able to connect these to use them on TV mode...
If they can be used wireless, iirc there are some 3rd party joycon grips that would work. The V / A shaped one comes to mind, tho they'll probably be awkward with these ones.
Those prices differences are crazy. Not worth $30 for just the HD rumble Does it come with a grip for the joycon? They seem similar to the NYXI Joycon but with some more customization option for the styles.
I’m gonna have a video talking about all of them as soon as I get through the other 2 pair I need to make dedicated videos on. Hopefully I’ll have that out in a few weeks but yes they are better. If you like the mouse click buttons.
I get that. I just feel like if you’re going to have two controllers that are basically the same at two different prices there should be more than just a difference in the rumble. I don’t know I just find it strange that it’s only one feature
I would like to know if the joycons can be used on computers or on Steam also like you to make a video using the joycons on the PC and configure it in Steam
I need a honest opinion Nexi or Mobapad love the purple and bright colors not a big fan of the basic look for mobapad. But like building cars it’s all about function not visual Thanks for your help great detailed reviews

deadzone ain't issue i think, it just some manufacturer set the deadzone too big that become issue the mobapad has app to pair to these controller and can adjust your inner deadzone and outer one you can also remap the button on your preference (which i set backbutton to L3/R3) and macro.
They will get loose on the system. No one takes unti consideration that the joycons are also right when you first get them. They wear over time and will wobble
Have you or anyone else placed an order through the website and had difficulty with the order being shipped? I placed an order on April fifth. The end of the month is quickly approaching, the money was taken from my account, but tracking still sits as "Order placed". My last email with support was 4 days ago now and I'm growing increasingly frustrated as they cost a good chunk of money and they were to be a birthday gift that is now going to be beyond belated. Help??

I actually really want to try these out! So far my favorite joycons for the Switch are the HORI Split Pad Compacts.
Same. I love the Split Pad Compact.

I just wish Hori listened to gamers instead off making these cheap controllers 😢
Your mic is on. And working really well. You don't need to shout
will these fit in the skull&co case?
How are they for fighting games? The Crkd NitroPad didn't quite measure up as a fighting game controller.
Are the back buttons only able to be set for macros or can you dedicate a specific button to each back paddle similar to a scuf controller ?
Are these comfier than a split pad compact or the nixy/binbok?
I got M6HD but Im curious if Mobapad M6s(regular) can connect to mobapad app to adjust deadzone and remap buttons?
Bro I wish i had this because my joy-cons are old and my parents won't buy me new good ones

No middle piece for the pads.. Might get the controller.. Also need better colors.. Cool video ☺👍🏾
have you tried the pro, is the hd rumble worth it

Amazon has a 4 pack center piece for $15
You could just use the regular switch centerpiece for joycons right?
Those prices differences are crazy. Not worth $30 for just the HD rumble

Ahhh, there's so many options that idk what to get. These or the hyperion pro or should i just get a controller instead of the joycons, decisions. 🤔
I wonder if the Xbox Elite controller thumbsticks and dpad will fit on this controller to give more color for the M6HD
Are these better than the GameCube DOYOKI ones you mentioned in the best controller video? And how do these compare to the hori splitpad pros?

did it mention anything about motion or gyro.
Trying to play house of the dead remake.
Got the gamecube joycon i got third party working.

the dpad though 🥵
Oh damn. The HD one is expensive as heck. And you you wondering why they have both S and HD? Price point my guy. Lol

Do they have turbo?
Damn bro, couldn't even watch the first 2 minutes?
Is it CAD or USD? 9:33

Will they fit in a case meant for Hori Split Pad Compacts?

I have a Mobapad M6 Gemini but the stick is not great due to dead zone issues. Does this controller have the same problem?
deadzone ain't issue i think, it just some manufacturer set the deadzone too big that become issue
the mobapad has app to pair to these controller and can adjust your inner deadzone and outer one
you can also remap the button on your preference (which i set backbutton to L3/R3) and macro.
Should I get an modded switch OLED or modded V2 switch
Just not for the hd rumble. Also for the buttons being different.
Like if you’re going to go buy these now
Mine arrives tomorrow. So hyped!
Need something without drift. Nintendo can't do it.
These have the Hall effect sticks
Nintendo can do it come on!
Nintendo can do it. Its just an stupid cost reduction.
