Thanks for watching. When you refer to "add-on airport" are you referring to a payware airport or an airport made by a third party? If so, it depends on how the airport was built. Many third-party airport creators lower the earth so that none of the Bing satellite images leak through. I have changed terrain around payware airports but it often depends on the location you are working and if the earth has been terraformed lower. I can look at it myself if you give me a good description or what you want to do to the terrain and details of the exact location. GPS coordinates will work with the directions to the specific location. I need to get my bearings.

@@patriotsix5880 I am pretty sure it’s payware. The location I am trying to change. The elevation is right next to the control tower at Halifax international airport. The elevation there is significantly higher than the runway elevation. So when I went to change it, nothing happened, but I noticed there was one spot outside of the airport boundaries that was within the polygon and it raised the elevation there but not inside the airport boundaries. The coordinates is 44.88151° N, 63.50413° W. You can look at some images on Google, when you’re looking out the windows of the Halifax terminal, in about 90% of the windows you can see the controll tower where there is a fairly large hill. I was also hoping to giver runway 05 of Halifax a bit of a down slope but that is the least of my concerns. Thank you for trying to help out!

@@nlhockey286 So for clarity, you are trying to terraform the area? I initially thought you wanted to change the ground texture but your last response makes me think you want to terraform the area.

@@patriotsix5880 yes I do. I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear the first time

@@nlhockey286 That is a difficult thing to do. I believe this is because of the way the creators layer over the top of the Bing map. You may be successful away from the terminal but near the terminal can be impossible. It all depends on how the creator built the airport. I tried to smooth out my home airport KBNA due to a bump on runway 02c / 20C I was not successful. However, the airport was built by Feelthere and they sent out an update that improved the bump in the runway. Sorry that is all I can offer. Each airport is different.

I have a question about Terraforming. Is there a way to put an angle on it? I am trying to build a road up a hill.
    Thanks

Yes, you can, but any time you are working with terraforming, it is clunky. You can tick the polygon you use for terraforming, and on the gizmo, select rotate. Now, you want to rotate the proper azimuth to raise one side. After you change the azimuth, you must translate and move up and down to get the correct effect above the ground. As you rotate one end up, the other side will go down below the surface. So, it may only take a small amount of rotation and then correct the lower end to blend into the terrain. Good luck. Terraforming could be more intuitive.

How can I reduce the object window that opens to the full size screen? I can’t get the corner handles to change the size….

Hello. I have noticed the window placements have changed in SU-12. I have to work with the windows myself to get the windows moved and sized. I am presently editing a video on what to do with SDK in SU-12. It is difficult to explain in words, but I gained control of the editor tools by ticking on the top blue tabs. It feels like you have to force the thing to move. I am sure you want to get going with the SDK and not wait on the video, but what I did is more of a visual thing than something I can put into words.
