    By far the best video. Like for real. People talk about shore power. Boondocking. I just recently bought a popup. And trying to find videos is a pain. Anyways. Thanks for a simple video 👍

    Best information out there on operating the Dometic refrigerator. I do have one question though. Will the fridge make any kind of noise when first turning on the switch for 110 volt so you will know it's working? Thank you.

    • @TravelingTeardrop
      @TravelingTeardrop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have never heard any noise when I turn it on, I always give it a few minutes and then carefully feel the chimney for heat Thanks for asking and watching my videos.

    whats the difference between the knob with 1 to 5 and the knob with high medium and low? do they both control temp?

    • @TravelingTeardrop
      @TravelingTeardrop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The knob 1-5 is for the electric and 12 volt temperature control adjustment, The hi, med, low knob controls the propane side of the fridge. hope that helps and thanks for watching.

      @@TravelingTeardrop thanks just got back from a trip had it on max cool, not as cold as i was hoping but maybe i was expecting to much. Not sure if id waste the propane in the future ice chests seem like a better option.

    Hi, thanks for your helpful videos. Picked up th 2022 15fk. They changed up the fridge by dropping propane option. Pros and cons with that.

    • @TravelingTeardrop
      @TravelingTeardrop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      first thing that comes to mind is boondocking, they run off of 12 volt battery and i dont know how long battery will last, so you need solar or generator to recharge. with propane yo u need no electric. Im not sure they would be an option for us, we like our propane Fridge. Thanks for your qeustion and for watching.

    Thanks for the video very clear instructions but I do have a question. Once the pilot light is lit and you hold the propane button down for that extra 20-30 seconds do you turn the button after releasing it or keep it on high? and What if the pilot light does not stay lit after releasing the button?

    • @TravelingTeardrop
      @TravelingTeardrop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Once the pilot lights and you release the button, I generally set it mid way to get a baseline temp, then turn it according to if it needs more cool or less. If it does not stay lit, turn the knob off, retry about 4 or 5 minutes later, if after several try's it will not stay lit there could be a problem. Thanks for watching and your question.

    Is it bad to have the red 12v on when you have the propane running

    • @TravelingTeardrop
      @TravelingTeardrop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is, you should only use one power source at a time with these fridges. Thanks for asking.

    We took our 15FK out for its first trip. Just a one day trip. We partially filled the water tank , but didn't use much.
    Today the control panel says our water tank is empty and our black tank is 1/3 full. Any idea how the water tank could leak into the black water tank or is the control panel misleading? Thanks ~ Diane

    • @TravelingTeardrop
      @TravelingTeardrop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like the control panel, they are not always correct, they are just a referance to give you an idea. sensors in the tank sometimes will get condinsation on them and make them read incorrectly. hope that helps

      Thanks. That makes more sense. The important one for us is the battery sensor. We bought a Samlex 90 watt solar panel. It is a complete untit. The dealership advised my husband to connect directly to the marine battery and the first try was unsuccessful. I cannot convince him to just plug into the camper. We will try again when the sun comes out.

    Great video! Do you know if there is anyone who sells a suitable replacement thermocouple for this fridge? My son bought a tent trailer and the thermocouple was removed. Can't find it anywhere. Thanks and Subscribed.
