I have exact same bike, very nice do it all, I was in the local dealer to purchase a Poligon Siskiu t8, The Salsa blackthorn was in the show room, I asked if i can try it, so i did, and I came home with a Salsa, after I toke it for a ride I forgot all about the other bike, Thank you for your time to do this review.

Thanks for the review. The Salsa model that is so well suited to AZ is the Cutthroat. What a beast of a bike.

The cutthroat is a monster and what I would consider a legacy bike from Salsa. Thanks for watching.

I am a newer mountain biker and got one for just $1800! what a great steal, very glad.

Great video and review gentlemen! Thanks for doing. I picked up this same bike a few weeks ago. What seats do you guys like? I ordered and received the SRAM Maven Ultimate Expert Kit. ☺️. Install is next week!

I like the Cromag saddle. The longer rails give me a little more adjustability, and the shape works well with my sit bones.
That bike will be a beast after the install. Thank you for watching my friend and adding to the conversation.

Thanks for making this video guys! I've been searching everywhere for recent review videos of this bike but it seems to be largely ignored (except on Reddit). I got it through REI for $2200 (plus I'm getting about $220 back for being a member of the REI co-op). I'm picking it up in a few days and I'm super excited!

First, thank you for watching and leaving your feedback. Both are appreciated. Second, that's awesome. I am a bit jealous as I really like this bike. Third, REI Co-Op is an awesome program. I am a member myself.

LMAO... If it comes into the shop, we'll showcase it. If I can get a chance to ride it, I will. 😉

Couldn't agree more! I love the value they provide across the range. I've been on mine for about a year and did a review including ride impressions here: th-cam.com/video/V76AKBNWuJ4/w-d-xo.html . It's not a small or light bike but it's well balanced and wildly capable, and can handle just about anything.

Great review. Glad to hear that someone else buys their decaf coffee at Circle K. Here in Perry, Georgia you can pay $10 per month and get any size coffee or fountain drink once per day. Pedal safe

Yeah, it's the same here. 95% of the time, I get mine for free because I'm a nice guy, lol. Thanks for the continued support, Gary.
