We're at it again in search of the perfect mosquito solution! My original DynaTrap served for more than eight years! This video documents the operation, installation and results of the DynaTrap DT1050, rated for up to 1/2 acre.
This video discusses DynaTrap technology, including how the trap attracts mosquitoes and other nuisance flying insects, how the insects are trapped and of course a review of what has been trapped after a few days of operation.

Very good review and discussion. I have never tried one, the results look good. Like you said if it is killing things it has to be doing good.😊
Thanks. Flies and mosquitoes reduction is the goal. It’s definitely collecting both. 👍
thinking about getting one, thanks for posting.... in the meantime, i'll check to see what else Lawn Journeys has to offer
good stuff Russ! I'm going to pick one up!
Another great video Russ. Hopefully you will keep the lawn videos going too.
Thanks Rubin. Little light on lawn vids because it can be repetitive. With that said I will share more lawn doings. Be well!
Does this help with flying ants? Thank you for posting this! Thinking about purchasing one we have a horrible flying ant problem around the pool.
As far as I know it’s not rated to capture flying ants.
I got mine as a gift and I haven’t opened and examined but I do see a ton of moths and my flies around the back door seem to have lessened a ton
Yes it surely captures moths in large numbers. I also get many flies. Mosquitoes are in there but they're hard to see after they dry out.
What about power consumption? It seems leaving it on continuously would be very expensive in the long run!
These traps have a wattage of 15-24 watts (combined bulb and fan) and cost around $1.25-$2.00 per month to run 24/7. You can calculate it yourself using your electric kilo watt hour electric rate.
The Ti coating does not get sacrificed, according to manufacturer it is meant to last forever
Thanks. I didn't come across that, will go back and re-read. Good to know!
Also where can we buy a replacement bulb if it goes out? Do we need to purchase from manufacturer or can we get one from anywhere
I’ve gotten mine on Amazon. Pretty sure you can buy direct too.

That's a lot of bugs for two days. Nice unit.
Thanks Bob. I was pleasantly surprised to find the trapped mosquitoes.
What about indoors
Great video. I’m getting one today!
It traps many nuisance insects. Probably most effective mosquito prevention is removing standing water around property.
Mosquitos ar not attracted to light, they are basically blind they rely on smell, the uv plays no part in attracting them that part is for the other biting insect, just though i would say, sorry i have to correct you i have issues lol
It also generates CO2. With that said there’s no defacto mosquito solution, but I do find mosquitos in the trap. I’ll also add that the majority of insects are moths and flies.
@@LawnJourneys i was just making it a bit more clear for the viewer as you kinda inplied the light helps but you didnt mention its usless for mozzies, so my issues thought it was a good idea to mention, no hard feeling i hope, i still want a shed load haha i have a crazy mozzy issue due to my pond and swampy train tracks over the back. Thanks for the vid, i wouldnt have found this product without your vid.
@@01Joemama We're good. I do not promote myself as an expert. Just a DIY guy sharing my experience and enjoying making vids. Pleaese comment any time. Glad you found the video.
@@01Joemamathere is a bait you put inside the catcher which generates a smell to attract them
Some uv frequencies attract mosquitos. But yes mosquito mostly detect co2 and heat
Does this help with spiders and ants
Negative. Flying insects.
how do you replace the bulb?
If you have my model I think I took mine apart in this video. Otherwise google you model for instructions, it’s usually easy to replace.
DynaTrap Refit and Use

I buy one last week, and I try it and terrible, the bug don't go near the trap period, it's a lie!
I showed the contents on the video. Mostly moths and flys but there are some mosquitoes. Most reputable vedors will allow you to return it especially amazon.
turn it on
I wouldn’t leave it on during the day…. Might be a danger to Honey Bees
I used to run it on a timer , evening and nights, but it’s great at catching flies. We also have day biting mosquitos in NJ. I don’t recall seeing bees in the trap but will pay closer attention this season. Agree bees are important to all life/ecosystem.
That shit don't work, it's a SCAM!

Is it really good for Flies? 🪰
