- Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s second son Andrew has been mired in controversy for what seems like ages. He recently settled a lawsuit that accused him of sexual assault. The consequences for that, however, were significant. Andrew had both his military titles and his charities taken away from him as a result of the accusations.
But Andrew is not done with the spotlight, unfortunately. Recently, comments have surfaced in the book “The Palace Papers” that cast the prince’s relationship with his ex-wife in a darker light than the famous ex’s put on display for the world. When we lived there we visited Windsor castle. It was fascinating. That being said, abolish the throne...it's day is done.

And have never understood the dynamics of still “sharing “ a house with his ex wife, unless more goes on behind closed doors! If true, I am also taken aback to think he is supposedly The Queens favourite son! No parent should ever have a literal “favourite “ and I’m sure she is aware of this. I think it is hilarious that everyone is making a judgement call about them when no one actually knows them personally. Anyone can say anything they want about anyone, especially behind their back's and this is called gossip and gossip can be very damaging. Consider your neighbour hates you for some trivial thing like maybe your dog pooped in their yard. So to be nasty they tell everyone behind your back that you beat your kids or your aging granny. You suddenly find people you know avoiding you and giving you odd looks. No one tells you about the malicious gossip and years go by with you being ostracized and you do not know why. Gossip is not to be taken lightly.

We don't know what's happened ehind closed doors bit this man's every move is monitored amd recorded by a professional security team . It would be easy to disprove allegations if they were false , easy to show he was having pizza with his kids and not clubbing .Why has he not dome that ?

They share a home because it was cheaper for Sarah to live there than have her move then Andrew would have to pay that well. Plus Andrew did not live THERE for years. When Andrew was ruining his life with NO private room for him other than a bed a Buckingham, he then came to the house for free rent because it was his house….I think they built it..not sure.
British taxpayers paid many millions to renovate & redecorate that home.

@Lorrie Fox. I think the opposite is true. The key to this strange set-up is Sarah’s crippling lack of self-esteem, for which her boisterousness is a cover. Deep down, she assumes that she wouldn’t be justified in expecting anything better than just being ‘used ‘ - say, by an uncaring partner. Thus, her early infidelity is easily explained - she suddenly fell prey to an ‘affectionate” and very gentle man. (The opposite of Andrew.). Being an out-of-control spendthrift is well-known as part of the syndrome. It’s my impression that the Queen, gentle and shy herself, sees through Sarah’s ‘front’ . She is known to be fond of her. They share a great love of animals. (A curious foot-note : Prince Philip hated her. But not so curious when you think about it.)
