So for practical purposes, was the caravan fully laden for the test?

It was my understanding that pickup trucks were not allowed to tow a single axel ALKO framed caravan due to their suspension.

Why are you changing the camera angle when you show with the al-ko control on, compare to where it's off? This have been done consistent in all your examples. I wonder why.

I'm very interested in your device, however, being a qualified transport engineer I have a couple of questions to satisfy my further interest. (1) Why did you not arrange for the device to activate individual wheels in response to dynamic forces, The most effective way is to apply a rapid short correcting retardation to an individual wheel, however, cornering should not cause an actuation under normal situations. (2) In many cases I can see it covering for careless driver control of speed, however, in a situation involving an overtaking/being overtaken manoeuvre where the forces are created by pressure differences does the application of the brakes on the trailer create any dynamic instability in the towing vehicle assuming the towing vehicle is not fitted with DSC. Also, when braking I would be concerned about any sudden deceleration without warning to those following and the effect of the vehicle clutch that is already being pushed to a larger extent by towing - thinking DMF flywheel problems.
I applaud your concern about the problem.
By correct loading and sensible driving snaking should be past issue, however, vehicle manufacturers have failed to allow sufficient nose weight on tow bars and many drivers think it is overloading on the nose that causes the problem when it is the reverse I cannot emphasise the need for weighing the nose on every trip and use the limit of the allowance. I tow around southern France every year where winds and mountains are the main hazards and I never experience snaking with my Differential Stability. Further more why do you show the example tow car turning right without ATC and the show it turning left with it turned on this is misleading people.

I totally agree with you. The video is very misleading to many people. Bullshit baffles brains but on the over hand so does common sense. EVERY TOWING DRIVER, JUST TAKE A FEW SECONDS TO THINK WHO IS IN THE VEHICLE WITH YOU AND DON'T RUIN YOUR TRIP AWAY......

    Don't speed, no snaking

The ATC is brilliant and a great safety feature but to be fair, who drives and pulls a caravan like they show on this video. If they do they want taking off the road for good. I have my own caravan with ATC which I've never noticed pulling me back. I tend to sit between 55mph and 60mph and have no problem whatsoever. It amazes me when other caravans pass us doing excessive speeds swaying all over the place. Some people just don't have a clue and are an accident waiting to happen. SLOW DOWN AND ARRIVE ALIVE. BETTER LATE THAN NEVER !!!!!!⁰
