On my 2000GT I’m running 305/45/18 nitro drags without wheel spacers and a set of adjustable rear shocks and picked the rear body up just a little so it doesn’t scrape the tire going into dips entering parking lots. I find the 305/45/18 nitro drags to provide plenty of traction up to 550 to 600hp and I’m stick shifting with the wheels slightly off the ground grabbing 2nd gear with the front still in the air. Anything wider sticks out past my rear fenders. These tires bite the asphalt or track when warmed up and move down the 1/8 or 1/4 mile and look bad ass.
@@bobsacamanojr9382 hell yeah.. if you get the correct back spacing you don't need wheel spacers.. however I'm going to have to roll my outer rear fenders just a little bit... I have a BMR adjustable panhard bar in the rear.
Very true! They are stronger yet the tubular design gives it more space. I am actually building the car and jus ordered my bmr lower arms and panhard bar!
Ehhhh it’s opinion man some people go for the super wide tire look. But yeah I got buddies runnin 28x10.5 on 17s an they do good but these hook like crazy too so

Kei lylmm I have the same on my 97 Z28. Looks good, no spacers and doesn’t ever rub.

I have the same setup on my 98 only thing I don’t like about wide fronts is the car goes in every groove in the road
@@ls1_cammeroh very true my friend..
I run 315s
She's sitting nice.👌
Should 305s 45r17s fit fine on the back with no mods needed?
Were you able to find this question out?
Depends on your back spacing of the rim. The tire itself is fine. Also are you lowered?
How did you put the wide wheels on it or did you change it so they look good?
out of curiosity, what do you have on the front?
are the front rims the same size as the back
Hubcentric spacers?
What are wheels off of. What size running on front
What was the offset for those 18x10.5 wheels you got on there? Those look mint 👌
what size rim/tire did you run in the front?
Skittim Gaming 275/45zr20 homie
@@clutchergarage appreciate it
Skittim Gaming my apologies man they’re 17s not 20s lol so 275/45zr17

On my. Commander 😊
What does it mean to "roll the fenders"?
Under the fender well. You stick your hand under there and feel and you’ll know what I’m talking about. But you basically jus roll the lip up
Could have went 325's and been ok.
No i have 325 still rub
What is your offset?
Replace the control arm with bmr then your will have room !!!
Very true! They are stronger yet the tubular design gives it more space. I am actually building the car and jus ordered my bmr lower arms and panhard bar!
ClintonDIY that’s awesome yep they are easy to put in takes about an hour
I was just getting in here to say if you replace the rear trailing arms with some tubular ones, you'll have more room and more strength.
Car looks good other than those ricer tail lights you putting on
I have a similar one with blacked out led taillights. Keeping my stocks wrapped up, they go for crazy money now
@@bhcamaro2002 you ain't lying I'm looking for a driver side tail light. Hard to come by and expensive af.
@@budd2097 yup I wanna go back to stocks and lightly tint them
Did he say 10.5 wide then 10.5 wide again 😭
Yes I did. Sometimes when editing you don’t notice stuff until it’s too late lol
Could just run 315's and not turn it into a shitbox
Well I hate to break it to you but I guess I turned it into a shitbox 🤣
Pointless just get a 28x10.5 tire competition compound and you want need 300+ wide tires.
Ehhhh it’s opinion man some people go for the super wide tire look. But yeah I got buddies runnin 28x10.5 on 17s an they do good but these hook like crazy too so
