    Good to see you had fun in Kambalda, not everyone does
    Not sure about the advice for overseas workers though, seen a lot of backpackers marched off site because they employers aren't supposed to use them, the government here classes all the mining crew jobs as unskilled labour, so they have to use citizens or permanent residents
    Have been seeing some of the Utilities and Exploration contractors trying to fill gaps with people (backpackers) for a couple of months, just be aware once the mine owner finds out, they will put you off site (normally with the person that hired you), it just cost them to much money if they get caught doing it
    Hope you have fun on your travels

      I'm some key tickets would be an asset for sure but i doubt that the tickets are valid in both places but you would have to check as the countries have quite close ties. I do know that what would be really relevant is actual experience more so then the tickets, if you are wanting to start work driving trunk in the UK this will definitely help

    • @jonsimmons4150
      @jonsimmons4150 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Spearxl
      No chance.
      Nothing is valid.
      No hgv, forklift, nothing.
      Not even uk electrician quals are valid.
      Only a degree, or city and guilds.
      Even tho uk hgv are 5 times harder than in oz- still not valid. Even tho uk electrical standards are far higher- still not valid.

    • @jonsimmons4150
      @jonsimmons4150 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Spearxl nothing is valid from uk, no truck or machinery licence, nothing.
      These are fairy tale jobs, if you are in the uk now, get uk 360 excavater tickets, and get work in hs2, guaranteed good paid work.
      Oz "mining jobs" is a fairy tale, bullshit that is thrown around, im from uk ( rg10) and locals cant get them jobs, im 9 years in oz, citizen, with exp. In heavy industry in uk and france, dont waste your time on pipedreams in oz.

    Hello, I'm currently in Australia to restart my life. I'm an production engineer from France and I've already passed some tickets ( confined spaces, elevated heights, forklift, order picker, first aid ) . Through my travels I've discussed with some mining researchers. They told me to pass the s11 certification and a coal board medical, if I ever wanted to work in a mine. So i was wondering if it was the same for you ? I'll be travelling to a mining town in a few weeks and I'm just wondering if the s11 and the medical are necessary ( or did you do them once you were hired through your experience?)
