I was almost 15 when I was a witness to history and heard the great Dr. Martin Luther King speak that day at the UN Plaza. He continues to inspire me today.

52 years ago, the United States was violating the UN Charter for universal peace and human dignity. When, WHEN in God's name, will that country's leaders finally wake up and realize the Truth that MLK spoke of and died for-- We are One Humanity, inextricably connected, and there is NO separation. Martin Luther King said it then and it resonates today: PEACE, JUSTICE & DIGNITY FOR ALL PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD.

Just watching it now for the first time.
I was six days prior to becoming 1 and a half years old when these words were spoken.
    History repeats itself.

This was April 15, 1967. The National Mobilization Committee to End the War in Vietnam staged an improvised anti-war demonstration in New York City titled Spring Mobilization to End the War. The march went from Central Park to the United Nations, with over 400,000 attendees. Speakers included Martin Luther King Jr., Harry Belafonte, James Bevel, and Dr. Benjamin Spock.

I see the picket signs that read: CEASE FIRE NOW from those days and I'm eerily reminded of how frequently history repeats itself.

Exactly. Just watching it now for the first time.
I was six days prior to becoming 1 and a half years old when these words were spoken. 58 now, and spoken again.
Well,.not for the first time since then.
But now it feels like then, in a way.
