    Thanks for the concise and simple video. A lot of folks on Yuo Tube University want to include a lot of blah blah blah that just makes me fast forward through. One idea, one product reccomendation. I am going to cut a strip off the cab corner replacement and epoxy it on the inside lapping over the cut edge on the truck. That will give me someting to bond to on the top edge of the replacement. 3M Panel Bond has glass beads so you can't squeeze out too much. Also come in small sizes so you don't have to buy $120 worth of epoxy.

    Good work!!! Never understood the static people give for illustrating functional repairs. Folks, for the women most of you go with, this more than adequate. Why go Barrett Jackson level on the repairs for a vehicle that’s a salt eater?

      Thanks man! That was the exact point of the video! Just wanted to keep ol "Trusty Rusty" looking respectable without spending too much time and money.

    I like this way looks fairly quick and easy. Just the glue at the back and bottom? If you have to do corners and rockers what would you do first?

    • @bikermike
      @bikermike  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would do rockers first but it probably doesn’t matter too much. I welded in my rockers though. Panel bond likley do the job too if have enough good metal for it to bond to. Just screw it in place while it adheres.

    if ur doing this repair, beat everything with a hammer to get the rust broke free before u waste any wire wheel or time on it i even use screwdrivers to get back in hard to get to areas

    nice video man just a tip if you grind away the paint on the truck where you want to weld it wont burn the paint and let off toxic fumes and also gives you a more cleaner and stronger welds
