The reason Blitzo is mad is because Stolas is a hypocrite here. All of season 1 was Stolas demeaning Blitz and not taking him seriously. Now, out of nowhere, Stolas is claiming to want Blitz in a different way.
"The fact that you couldn't believe I could have these feelings about you, that your first instinct is that it's always... about sex. That's enough to know what this is."
This is an absolutely INSANE thing to say to Blitzo with a straight face as Blitzo was following you for clarity in this desire to change the overall dynamic YOU created the terms for.
In the episode of Loo Loo Land, Blitzo tries to tell Stolas not to try anything sexual. "If you try fucking my little ass in that park, I swear-"
Stolas's response to this is, "You are so cute when you are serious," while pinching Blitzo's cheek.
Then episodes 5 and 6. First, Stolas invites him out, which is nice, but then he baby-talks him. That's the main "Blitzy" issue taking place, which he then keeps saying in the following episode.
In episode 6, Stolas saves the day, but then, when telling them off, he slips back into demeaning behavior. Instead of a concerned companion, his anger becomes that of a peeved parent or manager. That leads to Blitzo's soft gaze hardening again. Mostly, it's the fact that Stolas pinches his cheeks like a child.
Trying to intimidate somebody doesn't excuse demeaning that which you are protecting. It just makes it clear to all that you messed with a powerful force's possession.
Stolas always called Blitz "little creature," "impish plaything," "little imp," etc.
There's also the scene in episode 1 where Blitzo is in danger, and despite watching through bubbles, Stolas carries on. It's not quite demeaning, but he's still doesn't treat Blitzo's situation with any tact or maturity.
Even back in the Ozzie's episode, they finally looked at each other, only for Stolas to act ashamed of Blitz. Blitz stands up for M&M, but Stolas refuses to stand up for Blitz.
Then, when they drive home, Stolas doesn't apologize, he just tries to invite Blitz inside.
"Stolas, don't act like what we have is anything other than *you* wanting *me* to fuck, okay. You make that really clear all the time."
Stolas never tells Blitz that's not true. Blitz is crying and Stolas just sends him off.
Stolas never took anything about Blitz seriously, so Blitz just learned to accept it.
Stolas is really deaf with how he comes across. Our naive owl boy can now recognize the messed up situation, but instead of rectifying their actions, he just hopes to put a band-aid on it with Asmodian crystal.
What really needed to happen was a conversation. One where both parties apologize and recognize where exactly in they messed up.
They gotta work on themselves first. Poor self-hating gay boys.
TLDR: Stolas is a damn hypocrite who, despite flowery words, never actually took the time to apologize. Stolas continues to monolog in his own world despite claiming he would change.
The was a Long essay that I’m gonna grade, A- the reason is because you didn’t address any counter arguments. For example you talked about all the times Stolas came off demeaning and overly sexual but you never talk about the time when Stolas was trying to show his true feeling, concern, and compassion for Blitz. Also an overall conclusion at the end would of been great too fully understand all the points you was trying to make through this essay. Even though I’m on Stolas side, I do understand what your saying, especially when Blitz was saying at the end of the episode about Stolas throwing all these feelings and decisions at him all at once. I don’t think it was fair for Stolas to judge Blitz on his reaction in that situation, but I do think Stolas removing himself from the situation and giving the relationship space and some time to breathe was the best move.

Stolas absolutely has every right to walk away. Just like Blitz has every right to be confused and angry. The part that just irked me the most is when Stolas is actively a hypocrite, acting like he didn't set himself up for this.
They're both self sabotaging, but now Stolas is projecting his own failure onto Blitzo.
I'm just really ticked when some fans infantilize Stolas like he's done nothing wrong. I feel sympathy for Stolas and Blitzo. However, I'm not going to pity the sad one when they're both assholes.
The only time other than Ozzie's that they communicate for real is when they're searching for Octavia, and they just talk on equal footing for once.
"Oh, your memory's so great. What's his phone number? Exactly."
"Oh, fuck you."
Blitzo and Stolas get swept away, and when Stolas panics about Octavia, Blitzo tells Stolas not to worry. Tells Stolas that Octavia's in good hands. Then, Stolas encourages Blitzo on stage, albeit seductively, and laughs at his jokes.
They care for each other. They just don't really understand one another.
They needed to address their situation.
In Ozzies, Blitzo invited Stolas out under false pretenses, which ended up finally putting him on Stolas's romance radar.
Stolas finally deciding to ask about Blitzo's day is what puts Stolas on Blitzo's radar.
It all gets squashed cause Stolas acts ashamed, doesn't defend Blitz, and never addresses it.
The one and only thing I'm upset with Stolas about is the bullshit part.
We know Stolas doesn't listen. We know Blitzo doesn't take change or emotions well. We know they both hate themselves.
They're both stupid.
It's just Stolas's mixed messages and damn hypocrisy that makes me mad at him. Especially the hypocrisy.
We know where their heads are at, and they're so close. I really thought they would finally have a proper conversation when Blitzo chased Stolas out of the room. He wasn't gonna stand there wallowing. But then Stolas makes accusations, and I knew Blitzo would be pissed.
Stolas's speech was good. As a monologue. It just missed one thing. A conversation. Stolas was always in control. He always had the power, whether he acknowledged it or not.
Him finally realizing that what they have "isn't right" was great. He says how "unfair it is to be tethered to someone and not know how they feel." That was fantastic.
But he misses the mark because he never wanted a conversation and, most of all, never bothered to tell Blitz that he thought highly of him. Every interaction was addressing Blitzo as lowly until Season 2.
The type of "testing" Stolas did wasn't okay because of the emotional rollercoaster. He planned it all out from beginning to end. He deserves a real answer.
I'm just bothered that when Blitzo actually engages without confusion or self-hatred, Stolas just chooses to wallow in hypocrisy. Be mad or sad, Stolas. Kick Blitz out immediately.
But instead, you pull some bullshit out of your ass when Blitzo goes after you, finally understanding what's happened.
Don't act like you didn't start this transaction or kept bringing up status. Don't act like you didn't sexually harass Blitzo despite being told no.
Blitzo stole your book the first night ya'll slept together. Instead of getting it back and ripping that asshole a new one, you chose to start all this. You may be a sad boi, but you're also a dumbass boi.
