That final scene was honestly SO painful because it showed their biggest problems.
Stolas while genuine in his feelings, unintentionally controls the conversation and automatically assumes what Blitz is thinking while not actually ASKING what he wants, and Blitz doing everything that he can to completely ignore any real conversation about their issues to avoid getting hurt, and completely lashing out when he can't.
This results in Stolas thinking that his first friend and love only saw him as a privileged prince despite all his efforts to show him that he always saw them as equals, and Blitz once again adding another person to the list of people who he genuinely loves but pushed away because he was too afraid to show it, right as he was finally allowing himself to be vulnerable.
You know they're eventually going to make up, but it's definitely going to take them both jumping through A LOT of hurdles before their relationship can even remotely become a healthy one.
Yeah, reflexively Blitzo thinks it must be part of the game (the game STOLAS started, btw, this deal thing was HIS idea entirely)
Then when he sees Stolas actually being hurt and telling him he can leave, he realizes he was genuine, but he can't process someone loving him because of how much he hates himself. Stolas just immediately dismissing him then just pissed him off, and he goes to Stolas being a greater demon that's like "Oh you're not interested? Alright, bye then, piss off, if you're not interested in me you don't matter." Stolas just walks away without pushing harder or even giving Blitzo time, which he literally just asks for a minute to process the feelings thing he just sprung on him.
That obviously makes Blitzo angry, and then Stolas literally kicking him out of his home, this is gonna be MESSY. I've seen people PURELY blaming Blitzo like Stolas did NOTHING at all wrong, but that's really not the case. This is both sides being kinda fucked up and not knowing how to navigate choppy waters.

@@haku8135Yeah because we’ve seen how bad Stolas’s life is with his marriage and his lifestyle people will automatically side with him and will hate blitz. Though people forget the person that started this deal was Stolas and this deal was for blitz to basically sell his body to be able to run his business. I couldn’t even blame blitz for not taking the confession seriously after rewatching season 1 literally anytime stolas talked with Blitzo stolas was either condescending or just plain horny.

@@zodiak123It's so easy for people to get wrapped up in taking sides it's easy to forget a relationship takes TWO PEOPLE. Both partners are going to make mistakes, and no doubt have trouble communicating (ESPECIALLY one this messy, not to mention their unresolved traumas getting in the way.) But the most important thing is how they choose to handle their mistakes. It's only through both partners actually communicating their wants and needs (and complaints) in a CALM AND RESPECTFUL way can the relationship actually be healthy for both people involved. Considering how the people in this relationship do the total opposite of those things, it's definitely going to take a while for them to be in a healthy relationship. Their current dynamic will only deepen their emotional scars, not hide them like they're trying to do.
@@haku8135 uhm, no. Stolas didn't Start it. When they met again after 25 years, Blitz slept with him (pressured him into it just to distract him which is also wrong) only so he could steal the book. Blitz made Stolas believe kinky talk and dominance sex was what Blitz wanted and he agreed just so he could STEAL the Grimoire. Afterwards (and take on account, a very powerful object was stolen from an Ars Goetia who luckily isn't into violence and somehow appreciates the culprit), yeah, it is Stolas who suggests the Deal, which is quite a gain for Blitzo in a way because, again, the Grimoire is Stolas's, his father entrusted it to him to Rule over the Stars and Heavens (S2 E1 all of this info), and he only gets to use it once a month while Blitzo keeps it the rest of the time (it's illegal as well, stated in this episode). As much as Blitzo needs it for his work, he STOLE it. That's wrong. He slept with Stolas so he could steal it, that's also wrong. Stolas just kinda played along when he would have had every right to just burst in the building and get it back. Hell, had Stolas been like Andreolphus (just like Blitzo described him), I.M.P wouldn't even exist, and probably neither Blitzo. And yet here we are.
Stolas was also wrong, but he didn't start this. I mean, he had a play date with him as kids just so Blitzo could steal from him...
Also, Blitzo needs to stop self-destructive and boycotting himself...Moxxie said it, his recurring going back to a toxic routine (S1 Truth Seekers).
With Kirby saying how much she enjoys Brandon Rogers in this series, it has me thinking; perhaps you two should react to Rogers' videos on his own channel (especially the various mini series he's created over the years). Those are comedy gold. ^_^

I feel like stolas and blitz are gonna make up in Mastermind. Cause apology tour sounds like he’s gonna try and make up with verosika and ghostfuckers is the Halloween episode where blitz will probably see illusions of how he’s acted towards the people he cares about
The end scene showcases Stolas' biggest flaw in their relationship. Blitz is very confrontational, but he's seeing it as fighting for their relationship, while Stolas sees it as Blitz thinking little of him. And that's because Stolas sets himself up to fail. He doesn't sing about talking things out, he just sings about setting them free from the deal.
Also, that shirt looks quite good on you. Light purple (lavender maybe?) seems to be a good color for you.
My heart breaks for Stolas, for sure. But, possibly due to him running out of his meds, he was way too emotionally fragile for that encounter, so he gave up way too soon. If only he had persisted and not assumed the worst, things could have been better.
I mean, Blitzo fucked up spectacularly, but this whole mess is a two-way street. They're both emotionally damaged, they both contributed to the painful result.
I mean, blitz yelling at stolas and name-calling someone who has suffered way too much at the hands of an aggressive abusive wife yelling at him the same way would NOT have made stolas turn around and listen to him at all, so
@@SS-ui7by Maybe, but Stolas set himself up for failure even before Blitzø started yelling. He recognized some of his flaws and tried to fix those, but didn't see the full scale of how he made Blitzø feel or even really tried to empathize with his point of view. He was so fixated on this big romantic gesture and giving him the choice to "stay or go" that he didn't realize how he kinda jumped him with all of this, letting him think it was just another f*ck session to then letting him believe he'd lose the one thing he needs to do his job to giving him the crystal and telling him the deal was over to revealing his feelings seemingly out of nowhere and then the moment Blitzøs reaction is not what he hoped for he immediately walks away. Since Blitzøs tendency to discredit any real feelings towards him and avoid confronting emotional stuff this would probably not gone great anyways, but Stolas did a lot wrong before Blitzø even had the chance to react, so while I'm not excusing Blitzø for the things he did wrong, he is not solely to blame for things going wrong, Stolas messed up a lot before Blitzø could trigger him by yelling at him
@@alexelion7084to be fair , Stolas gave Blitzo a lot of chances. The six previous months of "You don't have to come if you don't want to", then three times face to face. He had already given him the option and many hints that even Fizz rolled his eyes at how oblivious his friend was.
And wether Stolas dismissed listening ot not, Blitzo could have explained or said any other thing bit instead started not only yelling but insulting. The moment you start insulting at the top of your lungs, you lost, no matter how many sorrys you attempt afterwards. How would Stolas know what Blitz feels if he refuses to talk? How will Blitz know what Stolas feels if he refuses to listen?
@@RegCShaw88 Yes, Stolas has been dropping hints, but just that and for Blitzø that was obviously not enough. Is that Stolas' fault or Blitzøs - I don't know, probably both to some degree, Blitzøs for not picking up on the clues and Stolas' for not being more obvious, though personally I'm more a fan of direct communication and Stolas definitely should've understood that his attempts to show his feelings aren't shining through after the night at Ozzie's where Blitzø voices that he believes their relationship is only about s*x from Stolas' side, a statement that Stolas never corrects.
I'm also holding Stolas to higher standards than Blitzø by the way since he is the one who wants to change their relationship, Blitzø is fine with their relationship as is, at least on the surface and doesn't want to change things, so obviously he isn't responsible for initiating the conversation, only for responding and not being and a**hole to Stolas (which he absolutely fails at).
So about Blitzø shouting: While it is definitely wrong to do so, I think dismissing anything he says just because of the way he says it is pretty unfair. Stolas was jumping him with this whole thing, not giving him time to process and then immediately walking away. If you can argue with Stolas being triggered by the yelling and insulting you could also argue that just walking away triggered Blitzøs trauma of everyone he loves leaving and hating him as well as his general lack of self worth. So if you're gonna argue with that, both their reactions to being triggered are justified and they are both wrong. Of course Blitzø is going to blow up after the emotional turmoil Stolas just let him go through. That's not an excuse for Blitzø but there is also no excuse for how Stolas acts. And if you listen to what Blitzø actually says, a lot of that is justified. He unintentionally plays with Blitzøs feelings, doesn't let him catch a break and then just drops him. All of that with no warning and a completely different expectation on Blitzøs side that wasn't corrected by Stolas, he didn't let him know beforehand that they would just talk. A lot of people also forget how powerful Stolas is, he is literally more powerful than Alastor from Hazbin, so the power imbalance beside "just" the fact that not just Blitzøs, but Millie, Moxie and Loonas job security are dependent on Stolas up until that point is a whole other thing complicating their relationship, something that Stolas never acknowledges but Blitzø is very aware of.
Also, Blitzø in his own, admittedly very bad way did try to start a conversation, he did voice how he felt and the "let's go" implies that he expected Stolas to do the same and he did try to apologize when he realized how he hurt Stolas, while Stolas didn't even realize how he hurt Blitzø
I'm starting to think that Stolas should've started the conversation with something like "I need the book back permanently because I have something better for you." Something like that.
Or like "Before we do anything, I have something actually serious I really need to talk to you about." And then open with the Asmodean crystal instead of with needing the book back permanently.

That's one of the most accurate summary I've seen.
It's honestly incredible how they took a funny, raunchy comedic bit and turned it into such an emotional development. They could have easily kept playing it for laughs, but they gave depth for the characters, recognized that the premise was fucked up on principle, and gave such a gut-wrenching conflict between two emotionally-damaged individuals who crave affection.
This show is fucking amazing.

@@benlevan5645 And that is with Ozzie being (from what we have seen thus far) one of the more reasonable and friendly sins, imagine what someone with a less friendly disposition could do to them.
The next episode is called Apology Tour and will be released in June, so some time this month. The one after that will be in October, then November and December. The trailer gave the months but I don't know the exact days.

By the way, Vivziepop released a behind the scenes of Brandon and Bryce voicing the song from the beginning of the episode, and it is AMAZING! It's only a few minutes if you did want to react to it.

- Notice that there is some references in the D.H.O.R.K.S. underground base like that they are cloning Catholic bishops making an army very much like the Clone Troopers from “Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones”, there is a silhouetted creature which looks like the Mothman, the portal machine to Hell is simalar to Stargate, & the tracking device looks like a Gameboy or a Pokédex
- The Spider Demon is maybe based on Kamajī from the movie “Spirited Away” with the way he moves

The fact when he gets teleported out you can here echos of “I’m Sorry.” Which shows Blitzø was gonna apologize at that moment.
Stolas saying that he always thought so highly of Blitz is not really accurate tho he might think it was. We’ve seen a few occasions where he treated Blitz as not as important like when he saved him from the Dhorks base he called him his impish little plaything. Also at Ozzie’s when Blitz really needed Stolas to help when he was being verbally attacked by Fizz and Verosika. Instead of defending him, Stolas instead hid behind his menu as if embarrassed to be seen with him.
Stolas DOES think highly of blitz. But what he doesn't realise is that treating other non-royals as robots or calling them by their race is demeaning them. We saw that paimon and the goetia family has indoctrinated him since he was a baby on how you don't bow to imps, THEY should bow to HIM, the IMPS should serve him, other hellborn are beneath him, etc.
He is fairly okay to others imps, demons etc but he is also isn't nice, because it's what had been taught to him since childhood and he doesn't even realise it now, atp.
Stolas cares highly for blitz, but he doesn't show it in a way that is understandable.
I mean, he didn't then, but now he does realise.
Slowly he will unlearn his classism and how he can be condescending is harmful to blitz and his relationship with him.
Blitz had the choice of whether to stay with Stolas or just leave with the crystal, but he didn't do that because he still wanted to be with Stolas. He was so confused and couldn't get out of his head long enough to realize how genuine Stolas' feelings were. And when Stolas said that his first instinct about the s*x thing was enough to know what the relationship was, Blitz lashed out because this relationship had always been just that... to him.
The mistake Stolas made was not actually letting Blitz be in control of the decision, even though he wasn't aware of it. He took over the decision and was a little too forward with how he felt. And when he assumed that Blitz making fun of him was the latter's answer, he shuts down and walks away instead of talking it out. (It also didn't help that Stolas ran out of his anxiety medication either)
I thought season 1 was a great way to show the problems Stolas causes the relationship while season 2 shows Blitz’s causes and issues. Blitz kinda had a different pattern in season 1 and it made it hard for me to get behind the new one of pushing away when he’s so obsessed with holding everything he can closely. (Obsessively with Moxxie and Millie) I get that it’s the point but abandonment issues can have multiple routes and I thought they chose the holding obsessively close. Not the whole package.
Stolas in season 2 YES has vastly improved his approach but in season 1 it truly was nothing but a transaction. Not that he didn’t WANT Blitz specifically because he DOES. But because he didn’t add anything to the relationship and only asked for the bedroom part. And he did it SO much yes I CAN see Blitz not understanding the change of the relationship.
This isn’t over. Neither got out what they wanted to and you can tell just how much they care for each other. I lost a friendship because I didn’t get the correct words out at the right time and it cost me in a very similar circumstance. And it was such a highly valued friendship that I truly will never live it down. So I do hope to see them patch it up. They have a story and it demands this. Sadly in real life, this would be the stark cut off regardless how they think of each other.

Kekeke if ya’ll haven’t rewatched this like a dozen times, a detail I really like is that Stolas has been taking anti-depressants and is off his meds.
The man’s reaction really was affected massively by that, but it doesn’t absolve him of his underlying issues that a majority of the other comments have noted. What it does show is that Stolas is at his worst mentally here and his handling of this situation was amplified by his untreated depression.
While these two are great, I definitely believe their relationship isn’t healthy and they both need to work on themselves before anything can start again. Stolas with unlearning his upbringing, managing his depression and realizing he cannot always assume things without listening… and Blitzo needs to learn to love himself so his first instinct isn’t to push people away or default to anger.

I already can see scenes playing out in my mind right now. Blitzø is crying in the shower. When he is done, he will try to act like everything is alright. Moxie, Millie and Loona will know he is lieing. Loona will go to Stolas for help about the tracker, because while Blitzø was crying in the shower, Loona checked his clothes and found no tacker. She asks Stolas to check his full body to find the tracker before the D.O.R.K.S. agents can build another receiver.

Watching that ending, it hurts to see hurt people sabotage a good thing.
This episode was definitely worth the wait! Bryce Pinkham and Brandon Rogers get top marks for their performances here! The antics with CHERUB and DHORKS teaming up is an interesting dynamic and will certainly lead to further developments later on!

Deep down after watching this over and over again, I can say for sure we are not getting resolution till the end of the year I bet. If they do it this month or the other month, they might dog us and make us wait lol. This show made me care about this relationship
