Unfortunately, they are extremely expensive and it's hard to get insurance companies to cover them. Right now my dermatologist is battling it out with Alberta Blue Cross to get them to cover Dupixent. Even with the Dupixent program it leaves 20% to have to either be covered by the patient or their insurance. There's no way I can pay $200 every two weeks out of pocket.
I love xolair (omalizumab)! I use it for idiopathic angioedema but it’s a double whammy in that it also manages my asthma. I haven’t used my rescue inhaler in a long time. It’s expensive but they have grants in addition to some insurance coverage.
Have you ever made a video about the cashew family? Or tree nuts in general? I'm allergic to tree nuts and it's annoying finding out that I'm allergic to guacamole and mangoes too! (And that pine nuts are in pesto)
Hey! I have a question. I have allergy rhinitis. I was treated with immunotherapy when I was 10 so it was never a problem for me to remember. But now (11 yrs later) that I think the effects are gone, I often have itchy eyes, runny and watery nose it's so distracting and embarrassing to always blow my nose in my class. I take antihisthamine almost everyday and it's also affecting my productivity. I also want to prevent nasal sprays as I was told that in the long-term Imma haev to rely heavily on it and I don't want that. So here's my problem, I just took an antihisthamine a few hours ago and when I woke up from my sleep, my nose is still runny and itchy. It's not effective anymore (I think). I've tried to prevent being exposed to allergens but it's just not working. Is there any remedy I can do to prevent watery nose and itchy eyes... it's so annoying. Oh and also I just wanna know if improving my overall immune system, like taking multivitamins and herbals can at least lessen the intensity of my symptomts?. PS: we don't have any budget for another immunotherapy.

It is unfortunately very expensive. They are also very expensive to develop. I hope they become more affordable asap
