- This is a master's degree final film that was made as a part of academic coursework at the Asian Academy of Films and Television, Noida 2023.
Starring Samragyi Bansal as Paheli and Vansh Pandita as Chahat, Padosi follows the life of two strangers who meet for the first time on their common apartment terrace. Both form a friendship and interest over untold secrets and chosen dreams.

Rewatching this again and again. The story is so simple yet touching. Shows that life can be so simple yet wonderful in the simplest moments and in the most unexpected movements. Acting is so natural, no fake filmy drama. My most fav. movement is when she takes video of him smoking and says silently - "Bata Dungi". 🙂 I tell you guys truely adore the innocence and simplicity in a girl such as Paheli, atleast I do!
Everything about this story is beautiful 😭😭🩷🩷🩷 , writing direction , acting , colours , cinematic shots 💗. You all should definitely make another short film 🎥 . It's going to be one of my favorite short films

My honest review to this film:
This is such a calm and emotionally touching movie as we go towards the end. The way the actress has acted is excellent. The story is quite simple and good. The screenplay could have been a little better by working on the dialogues to make this a great film. Please work on the audio part too. I appreciate the people who have portrayed the foldable bed as a character in the film which enhances it. At the end I would love to conclude the review and would give 8/10.

If one were to take the mobiles out of the shots, this could have been the 60s or the 70s in 'Dilli'. It's amazing how that rickety cot became a character too. The unplastered brick walls, the gullies... ♥

@@AviKhaas In your end credits, you had introduced Chahat as Vansh Pandita and Paheli as Samragyi. Normally it would have been the other way round, hence the question. 🙂
Yes about that, it is a mistake that we realised quite later and are regretting it. We should've proofread it properly.

Guy just getting carried way and showing as impressed with girl without any determination, girl took it in the wrong way and she literally considered as a good life mate however when girl made him realized the same then guy came back in the real world and realized Oh what I am doing and considered as running away from girl and girl realized that it is not worth taking risk and she took a right decision.
I am glad that at the end girl did not go after that guy, girls should not get carried away and take such decision within short time
I feel it's because of there's ego's they are separated. What is right or wrong it's all depends upon individual priorities in life.

Great short flim.. Loved it..❤ I don't know whether I'm just over analyzing or not,😅 but the bed is used here as symbolism...
Before meeting to Chahat, Pehli struggles to open the bed, which indicates she doesn't open up...
then Chahat helped her twice to open the bed.. She became more comfortable & open with him..
Then, lastly after Chahat left, she opened the bed calmly & perfectly... 😊 which shows that she also became open & confident
You've got it right. It was supposed to be like that to show Paheli's character being developed. We're glad you liked the film 🌻
Thanks for explaining. Now when you put it that way it make much sense..Paheli's shyness due to stuttering and her loneliness helped develope her creative side. Although her hesitence to become close to Chahat standout to be due to an honest practical guy. Her expression when she found that he is leaving tomorrow was just heart breaking of a new friendship and intimate spark. Paheli's longing to make him stay by sharing her most precious and personal poetry made my heart melt. Chahat's gesture to give her a very pretty poetry book was quite thoughtful and shows a practical guy can also think with his heart time to time....🙂
