Quick Question: what do you call an Autistic person with a Gun? SPECIAL FORCES
Trust me, I definitely don't wanna cross paths with these guys. They're all just doing their jobs as Highly Skilled Trained Elite Special Forces.
So much wrong with this list. Not differentiating between SEALS and DEVGRU, placing Tier 2 SEALS above Delta Force, showing mostly Ranger and regular Army footage in the Delta segment, SMDH
Yes exactly......(even me as a foreigner I know about it)
Not to mention that SEAL team six was only named that as a means of PSYOPS, to make other nations curious about the other five
Yeah Delta and SAS should be the top 2 lol
Considering SEALS have gone over to delta (don shipley interviewed a navy seal medic who did it), why would they do it if it wasn't a career advancement.
@@lewisb85 yessir dale Comstock talks about the same thing
“Unlike the government we don't keep secrets of our capabilities. We don't sell policy, we sell power. We are a super power for hire.” Johnathan Irons
Underrated cod one of the best ones
Daam this one dialouge went in hard as ATLAS had the best tech and operators at its time...
While on active duty, I worked at the us army airborne school in a support role. Through this I was able to meet several members of the us special forces, delta and even the SAS. Just being in their presence, you can tell these guys were the cream of the crop. Scary thing was they don’t “look” any different than other soldiers but the way they carried themselves told you they were on a superhuman level.
Green Berets at 20 is laughable.
Definitely deserves to be higher.
I'm from the UK and I have to agree with you. All US special forces are extremely professional soldiers and the British special forces trust them far more than any other units
You should consider including the Philippine Scout Rangers. They are battle-hardened for many years. You cannot graduate from this training unless you complete the final test mission.
The final test mission is they are deployed in enemy territory. Your mission is to survive. Some doesn't make it out alive.
You forgot the number 1 is The Predator
Arnie would disagree
US Delta Force is probably the most underrated Special Forces, they are the best the US has to offer, on par or better than Seal Team 6/ DEVGRU. I’m pretty sure you have to be asked to join and they are often involved in clandestine intelligence operations, assassinations, and are dropped into enemy territory for months at a time with little to now backup or support.
Delta Force is equals with Seal Team 6/Devgru. both of them are definition of excellence
19Delta 77-81 GARRY OWEN SIR!
lmao, when i was 10 years old, there were video games named "Delta force". Western units are the most hyped units, though they are far away from the troubled regions like Middle East,South Asia or Africa.
You do realize that Delta force is chosen from army rangers, navy seals, and Marine force recon
19Delta 77-81 GARRY OWEN SIR!
99 percent from the rangers and sf.
Kinda surprised that the Danish Frog Men is not on here.
Their operations are even more classified and there isntmuch footage of them.
+1 - You don't hear about them, and that's the way they like it, silent and lethal.!
There are no hype train going for them, no big movies or look at us vibe going, like many of the bigger special forces units from more "loud countries". But if the frogmen had dinged in at number one it would'nt have surpriced me, check that. It would have surpriced me if watchmojo knew about them!
This is like Atlas from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
So Austrian police special forces is ahead of the SBS, who for the past 20+ years have been continuously conducting CT ops?
Pjs (Air force para rescue) should get and honorable mention
Them and the USAF Combat Control
If you're claim to fame is we have the most civilian casualties while operating maybe you are not a good special forces unit
They're the Russian version of Team America
@@TheOneManWhoBeatYou team America?
@@isaacdebord7812 Team America World Police, it's a movie
@@TheOneManWhoBeatYou oh cool I've not watched it
@@isaacdebord7812It's a comedy made completely with puppets by the two guys who created South Park. Team America is this special forces team that causes a ton of destruction, usually to international landmarks, to kill a few terrorists. For instance they blow up the Louvre Museum in Paris to kill one guy, after destroying the Eifel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe
I think this list is more about mentioning the various elite special forces around the world rather then actually ranking them
Having the Seals over delta shows how little research they did for this video
Seriously smdh.
I dont think its based on ranking but just a general list lol
@@SRG5101 Because like the sas they are based on delta are far less public.
19Delta 77-81 GARRY OWEN SIR!
When comparing Delta and DEVGRU, it’s important to note that Delta recruits from all branches of the U.S. armed forces. That means there are different experiences combined into one insanely elite fighting force where as DEVGRU only recruits from the SEAL teams.
And as I once heard from a former Delta operator, there are SEALS that go Delta, never the opposite.
19Delta 77-81 GARRY OWEN SIR!
Wait MARCOS is in 13 while SSG is 7? What did you smoke?
These Super Special Elite Forces know what they are doing. No wonder they're calling themselves Badass Special Elite Forces
I guess whoever made this list doesn’t realize that SBS is the equivalent to DEVGRU.. Putting them at 19 is laughable and a complete violation!
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! Amazing special forces. I hope there is no more wars though..
Your list is wrong, you never hear a delta guy say they want to be a seal. You always hear a seal say they want to be delta… why because they’re number 1 and they pull from every armed force. Might wanna check your list again.
Apples and oranges. You will never hear a SEAL say they want to be DELTA. Or the reverse. Get your head out of your nether region. Both are top tier with their selection processes. and specialized training.
@@DIDYOUSEETHAT172 Really? so why did don shipley interview as combat medic navy seal who went over to delta to advance his career?
@@lewisb85 Master Sergeant Kevin Holland is the only known person to have served in Both. He did not transfer to DELTA. He separated from the Navy in 1995 after five years of exceptions service, began working as a wildlife forester, and was teaching survival and land navigation to platoons of SEAL’s and classes of civilians as a side hustle. After 9/11, he re-enlisted. He was assigned to the US Army Special Operations Command from 2002 to 2013. He completed the 8-month Special Forces Qualification Course (Q Course) in 2005 and earned his Special Forces Tab and Green Beret. He deployed twenty times to the Middle East, conducting over 2000 combat missions. Holland received more than 30 awards, including seven Bronze Stars (with two awarded for valor in combat) along with two Purple Hearts. Very little you can school me on sunshine. Have a fun life.
Vast majority are selected from sf and rangers. Seals volunteering and being selected is a rarity as are marines
Guys missed the 32nd battalion of South Africa or the Recces from South Africa
The Top 20 Special Forces units around the World are the best of the best including Army Special Forces Green Berets, Navy SEALs and Army Delta Force. U. S Marine Raiders should have been on that list of the deadliest Shadow Warriors. Fearless Men with Green faces taking the fight against the enemies everywhere by any means necessary including terrorists.
It's so funny you brought up a Chinese special forces unit the last time they actually fought a foreign force was with India and they used sticks😂
Watchmojo also had the audacity to place them and SSG above the MARCOS (who are considered one of the world’s most lethal special forces, trained extensively in various combat scenarios and drawn from the expertise of units like the US Navy SEALs and the British SAS).
random rubbish list.
How specialists around the world deal with hostage crisis
Everyone else:We beat the bad guys and save the hostages!
Russian Special Forces:Let God sort them out!
I'm surprised I didn't see Egypt's Unit 777 or the Indonesian Kopassus on this list
"those Green Berets are real badasses"
"I eat Green Berets for breakfast."
@@CleetusVanDamme530 lol two movies my dad made sure I watched
Ridiculous that delta force is 3rd this whole list is wrong smh
Some of the description about these SF in this video is the same exact description mojo upload few years ago.
Same narration but different voice
Navy Seals are awesome. 🎉
❤ I'm going to get into the shape for the air force special forces or naval intelligence officer
Let’s be real here, yes every special force across the globe are good in some way, but the SAS will always be the best, EVERY other SF unit have all been based from them
faster than a dingo can eat a baby???? tf
I know that took me off guard. It’s a true story though and public blames the mother for ages. Would’ve been too when I was younger if not for my mum and a stick haha
Great idea for retaining experience and talent. They just need to retain and maintain the same qualifications.
Chuck Norris served in the Delta Force 🫡
Delta force serves Chuck Norris
For number one I would have a tiebreaker between the Anzacs and the Gurkhas
I don’t get how the SBS are so low when they do exactly the same selection process as the SAS 😂😂
“What makes a good offense, is a good offense”… you don’t say?? lol
I'd love to see a list of intelligence services, like the CIA, MI5, or the FSB.
They already did that
Come back when they r augmented super soldiers then we'll talk about badass
Finest Soldiers
Kopassus and Denjaka from Indonesia continue to maintain their lethal secrecy.
fun fact. Tears of the Sun was based on a mission of JTF2, but was written as Navy Seals for the movie.
Unlike the movie the JTF2 suffered zero losses
Americans probably assume Canada doesn't have Special Forces
what mission?
It was really nice to see JTF2 up at Number 5. As a Canadian, I appreciate our fine men and women being acknowledged. I also love the fact that Canada has one of the most respected Military, despite all the hockey and maple syrup jokes. (Seriously, though, mess with our hockey or our maple syrup we will eff you up).
To this day I still have no idea why the government chose Seal Team 6 to take out Bin Laden instead of Delta Force
I mean, it worked didn't it?
The commander of jsoc is from the navy so he tends to show favoritism towards the seals especially when it comes to high profile missions like the bin ladin raid
@@roblopez8481 Also delta were overstretched at that moment from ops in Afghanistan wonder if between the two seal team 6 were available at that time.
Delta and SEALs should have been switched, Delta takes from all branches, SEALs only come from the navy.
6:47 How the hell is MARCOS (who are considered one of the world’s most lethal special forces, trained extensively in various combat scenarios and drawn from the expertise of units like the US Navy SEALs and the British SAS) not in the top 5 and placed 13 in this list? Did chatgpt make the script for this video? Because there is no way anyone who knows about Elite Special Forces places 8:23 Snow Leopard Commando Unit and 12:40 SSG above MARCOS!
What no Army Ranger? No Ranger reconnaissance company? Where the love for task force red
Thank goodness we have the brilliant defense analysts at Watch Mojo to give us their professional expertise regarding the capabilities of the deadliest human beings on the planet. I’m sure they know what they’re talking about
Yet here you are...
I’ve served in almost all of them , playing call of duty on Xbox
Swedish SOG needs to be here.
#3 A group that doesn't care about collateral damage(civilian casualties), and they're on this list? How does that make sense? I thought if you were in special forces, you would try to complete your mission without any innocent people killed.
its funny how they put MARCOS so low and no mention of the PARA SF, an unit that has literally saved countries and Governments. Even funnier to see how some Western units with little experience and Chinese snow leopards team who have no known major operations are so up high.
Also the Pakistani SSG was beaten and captured by Indian villagers during their maiden operation in 1965.
Sad that the Recees are not on that list.
Grom at number 9? I'm glad our SF unit is getting some recognition that it deserves.
You missed the Cuerpo de Fuerzas Especiales from Mexico previously known as GAFES, those guys dismantled n disappeared the zetas cartel
Where is the space marines?
Philippine Scout Rangers (Musang) spear headed the siege of Marawi City 2016.
Im surprised CSOR isn't on this list
Just need to say now as a Brit I skipped straight to number 1 just to make sure; yep the SAS 🇬🇧🇬🇧
The best offense is a good offense lol
What a weird list, this is. No Rangers, but many glorified police SWAT units. And in the end, they all got basically the same training and equipment (and yes we get it, 10% of applicant graduate, that's the same for everyone). What many lack is the experience and support. I like the show Seal Team and how much emphasis there is put into planning, intel and especially overhead support.
Hmm these Jamaican participate to involve these Elite Special Forces.
Jtf2 top 3 for sure
My granddad was a master Sargent in the army. He severed as a green beret with the 5th group attached ti the 101st airborne
GSG9? FBI HRT? Jagdkommando? DEVGRU? AAD10? KSM?
And the attention seekers should be rolling in in 3 2 1
Didn’t even include Task Force 141, smh.
age 64 6' @ 180lbs 19Delta 77-81 I can still do what I did age 18-21 (lol takes forever to recover though and injuries happen more). and 1 more thing, we werent obedient nice guys either still aint lol. Drinkin, acid, hash, then take the M-60A1 tank out for a drive or toss purple smoke in the MP station from a jeep.
I served in the apple core
You had SWAT Teams rated higher than Green Berets?! Enjoyable video but BIG thumbs down on the whole list!!😖
No way that 19 SF groups are better than Green Berets 😂 but hey what do I know
The list has been same since 2015 😂
Who made this list, a 10 year old?
Where the hell is the USMC Force Recon?!!?
100% Right Because they are the only special forces in the world with a success rate of 100% since it's founding in WW2 (75 years ago)
Hey Watch Mojo... How about making a Top Ten comments (or Top 20 or more) from viewers on whatever subject... might bring you great viewership, plus really smart. Maybe even Top Ten (or more) viewer comments of the year? All yours, no need for compensation... just make it enjoyable
Ok at least TRY to pronounce the names correctly 🤷♂️
Us Aussies at number 6
Awesome wasn't expecting that :)
You know watchmojo that "spetznas" does not actually mean special forces it actually means special unit! There really isn't a word for forces in the Russian language as used in this context. There were a few things I would critique here but ill just critique the one and give you the benefit of the doubt!
Indonesia special army kopasus 🇮🇩
Israel's Navy Spec ops Unit name was Shayetet 13 not Sayaret 13
SBS lower than teams they train...what a joke.
This list doesn’t make a whole lot of sense
Navy SEALs and Delta Force are the cream of the crop.
Thanks Macho Man Randy Savage
@@SRG5101it’s ridiculous how the Americans think they are anyway near the brits special forces is beyond me they are no way near that level 😂
China? What was the last modern war China fought in? The biggest criticism of the Chinese military is they have little modern combat experience.
Shouldve added some paramilitary/black operations forces
Para SF missed
Green Berets at 20? 😬
Haven't added indian Para forces...
Such a lack of information about the special forces around the world.......
..
No Rainbow Six?
19Delta 77-81 GARRY OWEN SIR!
Soon as i seen The Green berets and The SBS as the worst on the list i turned it off lol stick to movie list mojo y'all don't know what you're talking about
Denmark Special Forces. How cute...
Ir Russia 'Special Forces' refers not to the training that the unit receives, but to their loyalty to the state. Some spetsnaz units are indeed very elite, but many are mediocre. But all can be trusted not to betray mother Russia.
this is where UK residents say- having a strong military is pointless
20:20 Do I know anyone? I do but it’s not something you tell everybody. But it is #1! It’s not easy being associated with such a veteran. You get so many death threats. But it is what it is.
Actually the no 1 on the list start at no 20 on the list.
Never underestimate the Russian military.. really 🤦♂️.
Best thing you can say about the Russian military is that they're the second best military in Ukraine.
Yeah I don't buy that any Russian special forces unit is better than the green berets. It's all a show with them. I doubt they have any actual comparable skills to US Forces. Idk why the green berets were 20 either
I read that the Spetsnaz got decimated because they were used as front line assault troops rather than as infiltration units as they were intended
