I got this game for Christmas the year it came out when I was 13 in 2003. I vividly remember popping it in my PS2 the instant I got home, and sitting there being blown away instantly by the brand new animated intro, because it had been since the end of GT that there had actually been any new animation in the Dragon Ball series (only six years but an eternity and a half to a 13-year-old). It was the dark ages, kids.
I was 10 and I remember that day distinctively. I was playing all day long. Brought my system to my grandma's to play. I hardly ever Brought my consoles anywhere back then . I was hyped
I got this game and my first ps2 the Christmas of ‘04. I was six at the time. It’s kind of crazy. I learned more about DBZ through games like this and Legacy of Goku since the reruns growing up were random. It was hard to follow the story.
I remember getting this game from GameStop and my ps2 wouldn’t read it all the time so I had to pray that it would work so I could play it. I loved this one
this was my first ever playstation 2 game and with my old tube tv, seeing the first cutscene with this song and then till the end credit screen with this one, extended and without vocals was just awesome, beating kid buu was a fcking nightmare with Goku nonetheless, guys i wanna thank all of you 3:31 specially the master Akira Toriyama, thank all who are here reading, listening and remembering the pasion and love for Dragon Ball, those 90's kids, we should be gratefull for being able to enjoy our childhood without internet and all the media, gratefull because all of our memories about this music doesnt belong only of playing this game and aknowledged this game for all the memories around it.
Summer 2014. I used to play Budokai 2 everyday at my grandmother's house. I'm 21 now. I've played all the Dragon Ball videogames and i still play the best ones today (tenkaichi 3, budokai saga, fighterz...)
@@ChaosKnuxxx 5 years late, but, no, I did not beat the game, as I was like 7 years old when I last played it and kept getting my ass kicked by Kid Buu, lol.
oh man all of the budokai games had such awesome music i can listen to this i just played budokai 2 untill i beat kid buu just so i can hear the full instrumental in the credits thanks for uploading the soundtrack
Look, Budokai 2 may have a weird as hell single player mode, but I'll always love this game. It's the one I played the most out of the trilogy (I had a Wii so I couldn't play Budokai 3) and even though it might be remembered for Dragon World, it's still great.
I went back to it on a emulator this year and I’m surprised my child self ever got through it, especially when you had to go fight like a dozen saibamen in a row
For being the worst out of the three, it's still a banger. And don't come for my throat; Budokai 3's is the bangerest banger of the two, but neither can touch Head Cha La or Rock the Dragon, that's all.
I used to play this game every day for a whole summer back in like 3rd grade
same I miss it
Me too hahaha
Whole 2013 summer :'( Memories...
2011 summer god this hit hard

Temazo
Those were the days man.
wish this was a BGM in Dragon Ball FighterZ
🥹 god bless you Kenji Yamamoto
Oh my God
This song fucked me up when i heard it after having forgotten about it for so long
What genre would you call this, plus it’s funny that DBZ is synonymous with brass jazz rock
I'm not sure what kind of instrument is being played, but this sounds awesome.
saxaphone
Sounds like tenor sax
The brass section is Tower of Power, an awesome jazz/funk band from the 70s till now.
@@DarkmauMC that higher register tells me it's an alto.
Eu cresci com esse jogo 😭

Wrong, Trumper Skeleton.
