Thank you for uploading this video.
He mentions a particular constructivist approach used by one of his students to teach maths. For example working in small groups and presenting what they found out. An aim is to learn how to learn.
I'm interested in reading about other hands-on methods that can be used in teaching to encourage this kind of learning and reflective thinking.
I think acceptance, or lack of it, is related to not understanding that just because you are responsible doesn't mean one can construct any world you want, since constructions are limited by constraints and possibilities. -- cheers.
the people who watch this are either,
1) Very intellectual people
2) University students doing a paper
3) Bishop Carroll kids trying their best

Thank you for uploading this, Jude. Do you know who that student at Purdue was that he is talking about? The one who so successfully taught arithmetic? Perhaps he published about it, and that might be an interesting read.
Sorry can't help you with that. Several papers available. What in particular might you be looking for in a paper? I could possibly help you in that endeavor.
Could you please tell me the year this video was recorded, as well as the production company/director? This is a very useful video that I need to reference in a university essay
Still interested? I can send you a DVD. I am working on a trilogy of video I have constructed over the years of Ernst in 2018.
