They also identify and acknowledge the emotions of other people. This spotlight explores emotional intelligence and how it contributes to successful leadership.

Great video and summary of Daniel Goleman's book! I read "Emotional Intelligence" back in High-School and have been very fascinated with the idea ever since.
Out of curiosity have you read the newer version "Emotional Intelligence 2.0" is it worth reading even if you've already read the original? What are the difference's other than it being much shorter?

Plot twist...after recieving a bonus, gives his employees poor performance reviews indicating they dont connect and eliminate at least one as an example of his authority. Remains to be the boss by eliminating the potentials.
