Thank you so much! I had been trying to reprogram my remote for a few days and watched about 15 videos on how to do it. None of them said to unplug the opener and plug it back in. When I followed your instructions, I was able to reprogram all my remotes in 2 minutes.
Worked Sufian. I struggled through this a few years ago and got it working by random process. It amazes me companies like this could post bogus info because I have the same exact manual, followed it, and failed. Hey props! Pulling the power and re-plugging it back in worked. I was able to program my garage button1 in my car. However, I lost functionality on both of my remotes. So, I repeated process and did all three, one right after the other, and they all work now. Now I can put one remote in my old pickup (locked in the glovebox) and one in my Harley (locked inside the Ferring) and use the built in mirror button in my newer daily driver.
Homelink units are a whole other ballgame. Some are easier to program than others. You typically need a remote to do it, but I’ve seen some that simply work by hitting the “learn” button on the opener unit and then button sequence in the vehicle. Would recommend checking on some jeep forums…I don’t have one so I can’t advise much more than that. Best of luck!

I have 3 remotes,do I have to do that 3 times or will it wipe the first and second ones?
I had to do it individually each time I paired my 2 remotes. It didn’t wipe the 1st one for me.

None of this works with the actual vehicle I am trying to sync. I do not have a genie remote, and am trying to sync it to my jeep.
