unfortunately, I stopped this project with these guys right after graduation, pretty much. I'm still on vocals and improved leaps and bounds! I'm keen on bringing it back again with some other dedicated and talented people I've met studying audio engineering throughout 2023, it will take me some time but expect some videos through the next couple years, love to all soad fans
@nukachronic6211 Yeah, I'm 21 now with audio engineering qualifications. you will definitely see videos throughout the next couple of years as I've made it my career. Performing is a fantastic side hobby that fits.
As somebody who listened to system of a down back in 2008 to 2012 when the rap scene was really started to take over and was consistently ridiculed for my choice of music it always warms my heart to see a younger generation listening and recreating the music that I love so much. Great energy
amen, these songs have a very personal meaning for me as I've suffered depression for many years now and these songs were the only ones that have clicked with me. I have all their live performances all from bootleg traders and I wish to start a coverband soon mimicking their very late 2001 early 2002 post 9/11 era of live performances. I now have a far superior audio setup but unfortunately no drummer and all the other original instrumentalists are gone unfortunately
@@bonelessnutz3678 it's not a soad song, i also sadly do not remember the song name because i was only really interested in performing soad songs at the time. was something i rehearsed for the other guys in the band, thanks you for your interest :3
This is super awesome, these guys are really good, the vocalist is on point, and also the fact they played songs from their first album really shows the care and appreciation. The attempt at capturing the bands early live performances is admirable, I hope you guys go far with this.
I learnt guitar from System and I love them. Have to say...Suggestions...that first scream you Nailed! Great performance guys. From UK, keep it going. You guys are really talented☺️
That was awesomeness in a video Sad there's no bass but damnit that slapped ! I really love how the singer acted as serj does in concerts, especially in suggestions!!
From Denmark here.. That was sooo cool in those AUS uniforms. Lead singer remind of the lead singer of A Road To Damascus, also a Danish band. Saw them play a warmup for H.E.R.O, Danish band too 😂 Keep going on guys..
Dude! You guys did pretty damn good as far as I'm concerned. I hope that you all continue to pursue music at some directive, because you guys obviously have the skills and chops to do something great with your skills. I could only imagine the original content that could come out of this lineup, but we'll see. You guys definitely need a good sound engineer though.
Should have turned down your volume a little so singer didn't have to fight to be heard. Nice play tho. And you need a silencer. Lol. Serj screams were on point nice
Suggestions is a very good option. YOUR SCREAMS ARE STUPIDLY INSANE DUDE!!!! 🤯. Edit: with these vocals you would do awesome korn covers I reckon. Gotta love system of a down tho
wooot! I loved doing it, I've been through a lot brother, they still come from a real place. I am studying sound engineering and I am very interesting in recording again for the future and building myself up from there, i am currently topping my classes and loving the exp. I just wish i could re-release this with better EQ lol.
Sounds like the type of school I wish I was in growing up. Too many kids listened to metal core and death core and don’t get me wrong I appreciate the musicians that create their own masterpieces but bands like SOAD have always been my niche
oh yeah, waas really trying to build my confidence back then. no better way than to challenge yourself in front of your peers- at least back in school.
One and only criticism I have is this… That 60 cycle hum is a bit overwhelming. A guitar with a humbucker and/or a noise gate would have made this perfect. Excellent musicianship. Excellent stage presence.

@greyskiesrainfallandpeace3006 He just needed a noise gate, and a cabinet. He had a pretty extensive pedal board, I was surprised one of those pedals wasn't a noise gate.
