Oh dear Jim. You are absolutely amazing! May God bless you and give you strength. You inspire me to cook more at home. I love all your recipes. We love you so so much I’m new to your channel and so so glad I found you. May God bless you! 🙏🏻❤️😊
When I was a kid, my Mother used to make stew from what was leftover in the icebox. It was always served with cornbread. I still fix it the same way. Can't go wrong with it.
We call that clean our the fridge soup! We seem to have stock from assorted bones in our freezer that ends up in all sorts of sauces, soups, and, graveys! And the creations! Always yummy! Your soup just needs some biscuits to finish it off! I've been told that I may be a yankee, but, I eat like a southern woman! Haha! Hope you and the Mrs. have a good finish to your week. Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us!
No accurate measurement for cowboy soup! Love it! That’s right up my alley! Perfect for these chilly days! I hope it warms you and Freda up! Nice idea Jim! Have a beautiful day! ♥️🕊🙏🌞
I thought about making a pan of cornbread but the soup was already hot and Freda was hungry. We eat only two meals a day and she is more than ready to eat after about ten hours. I can miss a meal without really feeling it.
Green olives in that is what it looks like I love green olives for one thing in a lot of dishes very good flavor!!!! Also like corn and peas in these soups love soups & with saltines w/ butter on cold nights good stuff!!!!! I like what they've been doing with longevity research there's some really exciting developments I mean you're seeing people live to a hundred and ten more all the time. I'm just passing the stuff along but there you go it's all good. go with it. More later!! But one thing they found in common with the centenarians and others is they have a good balance between zinc and copper in they're systems and something has the elderly tend to have issue with absorbing zinc and iron so kind of seen corollary here. Just wanted to share that.
I considered adding a can of whole kernel corn but the pot was almost full so scrapped that idea. Thanks for the very nice comment. And you are right about people living longer, the average lifespan of a man has doubled in less than the past 100 years.
Well, it finally bit the dust for dinner tonight. made a pan of herb cornbread to go with it. Now I have to figure out something to go with the remaining 4 cornbread muffins.
I get into all things past, present AND future not judge what the future may hold just make the best of it that's all just one I really like is with the internet talk about preserving history with culture & the rest it's already all out there on the internet!!! Just Thoughts I've been having I love history so I'm thinking about how Generations from now people can still bring this stuff out. I'm as much about history is I am about making the future the best for all but also all this technology to make life easier and also preserve history in the rest you know what I mean. I've been looking up about Pioneer meals and more and I get all into it with what happened when and how. It all just comes down to what you're trying to do not "judging the future or new things" I said too much there but you get the gist of what. stuff I've been thinking about lately. It just takes some kind of disaster of some type of so much to send us all back to Wild West times more to the point so it's not just the past versus the future it's just a point I'm relaying that's all yes I did say too much here, go with it, it's all good :/ this isnt age poking Ivebern having nightmares about it growing older. 60, 70 etc...........like these guys in the 1930s drinking wood alcohol in back alleys getting reflective you got to try to maintain
I was the salutatorian in my high school graduating class (of seven people, five girls and two boys) I was to speak about the "good old days" so here it is, "Mrs. Sword told me to talk about looking back at the good old days. She even wrote the speech for me to give. The good old days for those of us who are graduating tonight include growing up during the worst depression in history, living through the worst war in history and Eleanor Roosevelt. As far as I'm concerned, the good old days are all ahead of us. I don't think that there is any way that we can screw up things any more than they already are, but I'm sure that some of us will try. I don't know where the rest of you will go from here, but I will begin by going out the door."
Well when my niece moved to texas she thought she can be away from the midwest winter weather but I told her that winter always find you and the other day she was sort of bummed out that texas is gonna get some cold winds and some snow funny how strange the weather is..
Why, why? Why, do I keep doing this to myself. Three hours before it's time to go home here at work I watch Jim's videos and after my hat starts to look good if only I had salt and pepper.🌭🌮🧀🍿🥓🥞🥘
Love these videos!!!!

Outstanding Jim,The world is a better place with you in it

Have a beautiful day! ♥️🕊🙏🌞
We are in the crazy days of weather, down below freezing at night and hot enough to need the AC in the afternoon.
Jim Foreman I know Jim! It’s crazy here right now. And all this construction! ♥️🕊🙏🌞
Jim, soup looks great. I think you described the essence of making a pot of soup in this video. Thank you.
With fewer people reading any more, visual recipes seem to work well. Thanks for the comment.
Cornbread would be perfect with this soup.
amazing stuff
Mmm, Mr. Foreman, that looks delicious! I have to try it, thank you, I enjoyed your video.
Thanks for the nice comment.
I'm not at all a soup guy but I do love your vids and use a bunch of your ideas, thank you my friend:)
brian70Cuda maybe some tomato paste or a slurry of flour to thicken it to be more like stew than soup
@@carolynmedlock811 I may toss some pasta in the pot when I heat it up for another meal.
Jim Foreman excellent idea..that some good also
@@carolynmedlock811 Now that sounds good!
Serve the leftovers over a bed of seasoned rice with a nice bread and you have a totally different meal.
Thanks, I also serve it over a bed of pasta or in a crust as a pot pie for a second meal.
Or has a side meal with your either corn on the cob or salad either way be good..
Looks delicious!!
God bless America and you and Mrs Foreman😊
amazing content
My mouth is watering. 😁. I need to try your quick version. I love that you can control the amount you make. I’d probably have cornbread with it. 💕💕

That looks darn good to me yummy😋🤤🤩..
Jim Foreman Cowboy Special! Enough Said! 👍
Another winner, You whipped up I see Jim.... looks hearty and yummy..............;-)
Thanks for the nice comment and thumps up. It did come out better than usual.

My wife rates anything with olives right along with sardines in her "don't like" list.
I would eat that for three days. Know it would get even better in the fridge a few days! Have mine with biscuits or garlic bread.
A good pan of corn bread would work, too.
Well, it finally bit the dust for dinner tonight. made a pan of herb cornbread to go with it. Now I have to figure out something to go with the remaining 4 cornbread muffins.
@@JimForeman how about big pat of butter? I like corn bread and milk. Maybe not with herbs.
Yum! A little bit of Barley would be great.
Good suggestion but barley is one of the things I don't have, never much of a need for it.
The TLAR method has always been my favourite method Jim...This soup looks marvelous, perfect for a winter's day meal.
Yep, I think pasta like elbows or small shells would go good with that soup.
hi Jim!! i love when Helen puts in her two cents!
That looks sooo good!
This looks so dang good. I'm going to have to try it for myself
Looks delicious, Jim!! You two stay warm!!!
Good to see you Mr. Foreman.
Good stuff Jim. :)

You are the sweetest man! Gosh I’m crying for some reason.
tasty : - )

One thing about the weather in Texas, it never lasts very long.

You might make one large hotcake and wear it like a yarmulke
Looks larrapin.
I think Mr. Favor, Rowdy, Wishbone and the boys would eat that.
Great soupe your honey bun(wife) hit it right on the noggin.
