a few months ago I was agnostic, I could not care less about God. However, I was/am pro-life and started researching the science of life at conception. And, as I researched I would watch pro-life vs pro-abortion debates and I found Apologia. Now, I can confidently say I'm a Christian and Jesus is lord. Thank you so much for guiding me to the light!

It will come about after this
      That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind;
And your sons and daughters will prophesy,
Your old men will dream dreams,
Your young men will see visions.
“Even on the male and female servants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
      Joel 2:28-29
I hear more and more testimonies of people coming to Christ! The Holy Spirit will snatch us up and reclaim us out of the hands of the devil just like that. So amazing. When I came into the Faith there were changes in me that were not from me…and it baffled me until I started reading the Bible and studying. God bless you man and welcome to the Body Of Christ and the Kingdom Of God.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

One mistake all ex-mormons do is to apply an answer to a question as an answer to a question not asked. Please ask yourself if the answer to your questions where for the correct question you made before leaving the LDS Church.

@@LanceMcMullin One man received missionaries, heard the teaching, felt the spirit and prayed about joining the church. A Pastor came along and he baptized him to his church. The young man asked the right question, received the right answer an applied the wrong decision. Another example is a couple feels that they love each other, he prays and she prays if they should marry, the answer is yes, but any one of them regrets it later because the answer was correct they just did not ask if it was the right person to marry. So is with many ex-mormons, they will feel they are right in their doing because it brings them peace not knowing that even in doing wrong the lord is there to comfort them. but not because they made the right decision.

When I was actually saved, the moment it happened, I found myself on my kitchen floor saying “Thank you” over and over again but then it turned to, “I am so sorry.” In that moment I saw the disgusting things I did over decades so clearly and all I could repeat over and over was, “I am so sorry.” I don’t know how long I was on my face sobbing but my life changed in that moment. I love your story and I understand that saving grace that I certainly don’t deserve. I actually deserve the deepest of hell. Praise Jesus!!

    • @justinhemion6279
      @justinhemion6279 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Just take a look t the word you chose to use...
You use the word "unique" as a adjective.. which i do find unique.. I must confess(no pun intended)
You did say they peoples testimonies are all the same but the thing is ..they are "unique"..
Whereas most may say something like "eh ..its merely a coincidence" ... I say that coincidences do not even exist...
What does exist are "miss-understandings, miss-information and miss- interpretations" which mind you are all "aMISS"...
I like that word "unique" ..ill explain why.. and it all goes back to Christ...
      It has 2 syllables right?..
But let's look farther into the word...
I actually see 2 words... "uni" & "que"
Well we know that "uni" means 1
And "que" can be said like.. "whats the que?"
That struck me when I read your comment...
Yes .. everyone does have a unique story...
They all have "1" as their basis.. they all share in something Wonderful and in fact that "Wonderful" is what HE is called..
It's CHRIST.. and HE is literally that 1.. that "uni"que.. its Faith in Him and His finished work upon that cross at Calvary that makes it all possible for so many people to have such "unique" testimonies which at the same time sound to " be the same"..
Just a thought... I hope this blesses someone.
All Glory be unto God who is so Wonderful as to provide us all such a unique opportunity to connect.

@@wwfera00 Great question! It's helpful for Christians to know specific details about a persons born again experience, especially when that person was caught up in a cult. The way it all happened was a lot like the peeling of an onion. God was already putting people in my life, my husband for one, to really get me to think for myself so to speak. He knew I said I was mormon BUT never went to their meetings and really didn't have anything positive to say about it. It was that brainwashing technique used by cults that was still hanging on to me. In my mind and spirit I didn't see myself going back to the mormon "church" but at the same time I felt trapped in moving forward. What really got me moving out of my stagnation to God was God Himself! He gently warned me in my spirit one day. So, I was just walking in my kitchen and what He said stopped me in my tracks. " Amanda, if you were to die right now you would not be with Me." I knew for a fact that was God speaking to my spirit. I said aloud, " God, I don't know how to "get right" with You but I believe You are going to show me!!" From there it's like He told me to see for myself the false hood of mormonism. For the first time I began listening to "anti-mormon'' teaching as the mormons would call it. It makes sense why they forbid you to read or listen to anything that puts mormonism in a "bad" light. That's where truth is told. satan shudders at it! Here on TH-cam there was a mormon professor who was actually showing the problems with mormonism. I never wrote his name down and I wish I would have. He's probably either excommunicated from mormonism now or has been born again. God used a lot of TH-cam ex-mormon testimonies too. God was very patient with me and He put me in a solid Bible believing, preaching church here in the south. I heard the Gospel presented correctly and was born again on June 18, 2009. As you can see, the biggest thing that happened that released me to move out of my stagnation in search for God's salvation was God Himself. It's like He was breaking those cultic brainwashing chains off of my mind and spirit so I could move forward to see mormonism for what it was. Still praying for my mom, dad, brother and sister in law to break free.

One day he came home drunk after a party, hit the floor in his lounge and called out to God to take his life. He’d had enough. Then he said he felt sober and refreshed. Like God’s grace and mercy fell upon him and from then on he turned his life around. Old party friends now avoided him. No one rang him for parties. And Sully started good work in the neighbourhood helping at risk youth. God helped save him. How many unknown countless lives has God saved throughout history? God is Great.

    My Jesus !
He comes to the broken , to the lost , to the unworldly, to the evil to change them to his image!
Everyone who comes to him has an a history to tell..
    What a Man of God!
Mormons please realize that is not about who’s pretending to be good , is not about a church . It’s about being born again from heaven not from a religion.
Because all Mormons believe they are born again from their church.
Pastor Jeff I wish I could meet you one day! You have been a blessing with all the knowledge God has given about religion , cult and abortion.
God always has good teacher in his family! Glory to The Lord Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!

His experience is so much like mine, such a beautiful testimony. The only difference for me is that I had a physical encounter with Christ. I cried out to him, and he came down from heaven in the spirit and saved my life.
When I lost myself, this world died to me; but when I saw him, I knew who I was. I died to myself in finding him, and in finding him, I found myself. He found me. 😇 Praise Jesus ❤️

You’re amazing, Pastor Jess. I’m a little older than you and our lives mirror each other in far too many ways. Much like you, I thank God for His mercy in my life and I thank Him often for it. Having said that, tonight I’ll pray for your wife. Why? Because much like my wife, she didn’t leave when life got bad. Stuck around through the drugs, the neglect, the infidelities...believing that I, we, would come around. We did. And I know you appreciate her for that. I’ve heard you say it. But she’s going to get the prayer attention tonight. Along with my girl. God Bless, little brother. You’re chosen of God and are doing great things for His Glory. Right beside my other favorite Christian, Dr. White.....

Strong testimony. I have a similar story. Only I wasn't lucky enough to keep the marriage together. And it took about 25 years to find out that I was converted but still in the world. In the beginning I was radical and really went for it. But by experiencing and seeing a lot of abuses within the denominations (because that's what they were) I kept walking back and forth between the world and the church. Still radical and fiery in my experience, but my behavior was the opposite. But God is faithful and forgiving, that's what makes Him who He is. He is merciful, but also a just God. An It's a blessing to know Him. And there is always a second chance for those who believe in Him, and do want to change.
Spreek je ook Nederlands Jeff. Waren jullie gestationeerd in Soesterberg? Blijf gezegend in Hem én vurig voor Hem broer!

There is no power quite like the transformative power of Christ
A friend of mine I met in college grew up with my wife. Well the guy I met was such a light for the Gospel. But my wife said he wasn't always like that. He was a bit of a wild child in high school before he became truly saved
Our friend graduated from seminary. He was named pastor of a small church near New Orleans. Long story short he was put there to essentially close the church. The membership was fading. Community around it wasn't supporting it. You know the drill
Well they sent the wrong dude to close a church. Now, they've had to add another wing onto the building because of such growth. They now have a Christian school they have started.
Our friend is a living example of Christ's transformative grace and he is such a light to this world
