I have faith that Tim is going to do some wonderful things for RAM! I am ecstatic that Tim is back! Id like to see Tim and Matt do something for Dodge as well! Not to mention all the boundaries to work around! Have faith guys n gals! Let Tim do what he does best! Good things come to those that wait! Great video, Racer X!
The main factor for us hard-working folks that love jeeps that love ram trucks is the cost, two years ago I could buy a jeep 392 for about $80,000 in less than two years it’s gone up to over $100,000, that’s insane and it’s one of the best jeeps they’ve ever built it’s too much money. My ram 1 ton out the door was over $90,000 that’s totally insane. It used to be you could buy a house for that money, we’ve got to get the cost down there’s just a lot of hard-working folks that depend on a hard-working truck, dodge has always been my number one choice now it’s called ram in my off-road vehicle pretty much has always been a jeep.
Ram doesn't have a suitable gas engine for the HD trucks, so they could start there. Something 7 liters+ with a nice long stroke for low RPM torque. While they're at it, maybe refresh that 15 year old sheet metal. Ford's 7.3 is the only choice currently.
Hope to see a Hellcat single cab... Been wanting to do something like that to my single cab R/T. I'd leave mine alone if one ever gets made in the next year or two
If they redesign the v8 in a way that you can expose the roller lifters without taking the heads off will be a + that way you can ispect them, even replace a cam without dealing with the heads
Im still driving my 2016 Ram hemi with 180k miles on it with nothing but regular maintenance done, i doubt these newer trucks will be as reliable as that
I totally agree Mr.RacerX, I strongly feel Mopar mantel is gonna be carried on single-handedly by RAM from now on. At this point I only have faith in them for launching products that could excite the American fan base.
Thanks for the update, very good to hear this. Any thoughts on the rumour that the hemi might return to ram temporarily, limited numbers, in 2026 or so?
How bought the first thing he does, get rid of the Hurricane motor and bring back a revised Hemi 5.7L and an optional 6.2L N/A in the 1500 chassis, also in the 1500 chassis, include the 6'4" bed on the full crew cab on all trim levels and as the standard bed length. You can't use the 5'7" bed very well for camping or anything. It's just not enough space.
They really need to clean up the embarrassing bottom feeder dealer networks, just like on the Dodge side. Too many potential first time customers experience that mess and won't ever come back.
When these manufacturers realize that there is a market out there for regular cab trucks and not 4 door trucks with limited bed space they might sell more vehicles
I imagine the big hurdle will be that Stellantis has a ton of money invested in the funky inline 6. Maybe they can offer both engines and see how sales go? All vehicles are really expensive today. I wouldn't hold my breath on a huge price drop. Maybe big discounts on the current pricing. I think it would be easy to offer two engine choices on Ram trucks. Ford and Chevy have it. We'll see. Good update video.
How about a full size 2 door SUV from RAM with a V8 option and an SRT version? Is Tim bringing back the SRT engineering team that was disbanded? I'm hopeful that I won't have to ditch Mopar once my WK2 Grand Cherokee is done. Thanks Paul!
Hey Racer, I'm one of your Subscribers and wondering how you liked that free ocean cruise from Mopar? OC's calling you out on being bribed in exchange for good reviews.
I’m glad Tim is back, and I think Ram will do a complete 180 under his guidance, but unless something is done about the dealer network greed then the Mopar brand will continue to have a bad rep.
The previous management didn't do so hot (pre-Stellantis) in my book. They left outdated product on the books and left Chysler with just the minivan to sell. It looks like (with info/view I have) that very little if anything was being done to get new product out for Chysler and Dodge. The Dodge website is still featuring the 2023 Challenger. For new, short time to dealer lot product, the Charger (new EV only at this time) was designed to be both an electric and gas-powered (right?). They should get that out ASAP. Maybe behind the scenes there is a Chrysler variant as well? I'd love to see some cars (not SUV/Trucks) hit the market that are interesting, reasonably priced, and offer something other black out packages. I want some interior color choice and some exterior color choice (not white, black, gray, and silver). This kinds of options (product offerings) would help differentiate CDR from the homogeneous pack of same (bland?) offerings. Lastly, get some good lobbyists to get the drivers back in control (i.e. the company's products would be driven by the market, rather than government regulations).
Great to see Tim back. Here's what I'm thinking should happen. Dodge: Ram returns to the Dodge brand and bring back the SRT performance line as part of it. Chrysler: Add some new models and make it the luxury brand. Jeep: The SUV lineup of course Plymouth: Bring back the Plymouth brand and use that for EV.
The real question is can Dodge even survive until the VA is unveiled? With all of the price gouging from the dealerships to the horrific news with the EV movement and everything else going on has been dragging the brand down it's hard to see if they could even make it to that next step
The news Ram is throwing its hat in the EV (PHEV) ring, instead of using cash to buy credits, is far from "horrific". EPA and GM put EREV on the shelf 16 years ago and Ram is finally going to try, this year with RamCharger.
@hcjpbluesky9916 It will be a mistake. Because once the new administration takes hold, these power dollars or whatever incentivizations they're getting from the government is going to cease.
No issue with a boosted 6cyl truck engine, ford has great ones. But you can’t get rid of the v8. Some people actually use thier truck for its purpose and they want to use it for a long time. I bought a 2016 ford f150 with a v8 and 300,000km (186,000miles) and it runs like new. An eco boost, as good as they are, would never last that long without major issues. People just want a simple, long lasting, hard working truck 1/2 ton truck and a turbo is not gonna get you there.
At this point of the game Tim has a lot of work to do, not just Ram but the rest of the Chrysler brands. In my view it will take 2 years to bring new products that people actally want.
Today's prices are due to the failed EV's, they gotta make up that loss somewhere, hopefully they'll realize it's better to eat those losses and bring down combustion engine prices and sell more rather than having inventory sitting everywhere. I'd really like to see a performance 1500 2 wheel drive, something like the old SRT 1500 only with the V8. It will take awhile but at least they on the right track now.
Fail? Stellantis' strategy was to not even try. They bought the credits and saved money on innovation, by hoping the re-packaged crap could fetch more $$$. 4Xe struck a chord. Kuniskis' respect for what works is what could make room for a V8, not paying Elon Musk.
Performance wise for ram they should take notes of what ford is doing with these single cabs truck. Ford dealership noticed they are getting alot of attraction and are building their own single cab performance trucks with lowering kits supercharger wheels and tires and people are buying them.
I have a good idea Ford has SOME electric cars and truck but then they kept the gas combustion engine line up smart move it would be ok to have a truck or even a car equipped with the hurricane engine BUT come up with a vicious big block V/8
when you see timmy,,, ask him if he can do anything about the hemi tick and the exhaust manifold bolts that break with onl 21,000 miles on the clock.that the dealer tells you. ...ram doesnt warranty their bolts..thanks in advance
They may bring back the hemi and that will help their credibility a little. They’ve taken advantage of Americans for 4 years with their crazy markups. That can’t be forgiven in my book.

Great news hopefully he’ll turn ram around, I bought a 2023 ram rebel 2500 4x4 and I really love it , had to wait 7 months to get it but worth it, it was really pricey though, great video thank you X happy new year
Happy New Year to you and your family, thanks for the updates
Hi Racer X thank you for sharing your thoughts and for bringing us a little air of optimism.
We really need it.
All these things on the electric kill our mood
Bought my 2018 hydro blue ram brand new for $36k, he should try to bring back those 2018 prices
Bought the exact same truck
We're never going back to 2018 prices.
Hope your pay don’t go back to 2018
Lol

I was losing hope for a while on Stellantis in general… Now after Tim came back I’m super excited to see what’s next. Have a happy and safe new year Mr. X.🤘
Happy New Year buddy
I have faith that Tim is going to do some wonderful things for RAM! I am ecstatic that Tim is back! Id like to see Tim and Matt do something for Dodge as well! As you stated, we all must be realistic in the timeframe for new things to be revealed. Things don't happen over night. R&D takes time, and a LOT of money. Not to mention all the boundaries to work around! Have faith guys n gals! Let Tim do what he does best! Good things come to those that wait! Great video, Racer X!
The ONE thing Mopar can do immediately and across the board, is drop all MSRPs by 30%. No testing, no EPA hoops to jump through - just get 'er done.
I agree with you completely. And as you said, this will take time I would be thinking at least a year.
Ram doesn't have a suitable gas engine for the HD trucks, so they could start there. Something 7 liters+ with a nice long stroke for low RPM torque. While they're at it, maybe refresh that 15 year old sheet metal. Ford's 7.3 is the only choice currently.
Closest option is cummins octane
The Ford 7.3 engines are grenading with low miles, it's a junk motor....

Hey, happy new year! Whenever I drive my '23 Scat Pack, Tremec shifted, Shake-down edition Challenger I'm wearing my autographed Racer X hat. 😉
Hope to see a Hellcat single cab... Been wanting to do something like that to my single cab R/T. I'd leave mine alone if one ever gets made in the next year or two
I definitely think they’re gonna be heading in the right direction
Thanks for the ray of sunshine!
If they redesign the v8 in a way that you can expose the roller lifters without taking the heads off will be a + that way you can ispect them, even replace a cam without dealing with the heads
Simple, a 340 hemi with dohc and 2 valves per cylinder. Bring back the true hemi head but with twin cams and high rpm.
I'll start looking again when prices and quality return to normal. They should also send dealers a warning to clean up their way of doing business..
We want a hemi
I like hemi as well but you also have to have a v6 option for people as well!
@miketwotwenty ya that's true
You would have hated the 80's when it was all FWD 2.2 4 cylinder cars
What a way to start the New Year. Yahoo.
🏆Racer X🎉 Happy New Year 😎my two-door square box Hemi is Hilarious🍀✌️
RacerX Friend I hope you had a good Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to you and your family in 2025 !!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🎅🎁😃😃💪💪🎄🥊🥊🥳🥳🍺🍺
Thanks for the update, very good to hear this. Any thoughts on the rumour that the hemi might return to ram temporarily, limited numbers, in 2026 or so?
God damn you eyes are blue..You taking that spice from Dune? hahaha.. Great vid as always. Hope Ram can turn it around.
Bring back the regular cabs!! A Rumble Bee, 392 would be nice. Also, whats this I hear about a 7.2 Cummins????....
They gotta get the prices down. If they can’t make them affordable for people then they will never get out of their slump.
When these manufacturers realize that there is a market out there for regular cab trucks and not 4 door trucks with limited bed space they might sell more vehicles
2 doors are great so long as you don’t have a family I guess
When you take the family ,use the family sedan which is what people used to do,just a suggestion
@@johnstecz9169or they could get a 4 door truck and have a more comfortable family vehicle as well as having a truck
Step 1 drop pricing by 20%. Step 2 give customers access to the data on their vehicle. Checking an engine code should not require a dealer.
It will take a good deal of time to see good concepts materialize. Like a massive oil tanker turning around, it certainly will take time & patience.
With their current lineup I'm not worried
How about a full size 2 door SUV from RAM with a V8 option and an SRT version? Is Tim bringing back the SRT engineering team that was disbanded? I'm hopeful that I won't have to ditch Mopar once my WK2 Grand Cherokee is done. Thanks Paul!
Did you ask him if he was going fix all rear window water leaks in the 5th Gen Rams? My 2019 is on its 3rd rear window for leaks.
Remember he was in charge when all the problems started...no guarantee it will really get better
Would love to see a high performance AWD Little Red Express or Warlock
Yeah the other vehicle I forgot to add in my last post is the T-Rex and that name is debatable also
Too, too late.
Will Tim address the concerns about all the plastic parts that are problematic?
Did dodge fix the security/ theft issue. I don’t know if ram has that issue as well
I wish they make the 1st hybrid diesel truck so it can be used as a commuter and hauler
Put the 6.2 in a Ram 1500 with no MDS......Done.
10 mpg
Hey Racer, I'm one of your Subscribers and wondering how you liked that free ocean cruise from Mopar? OC's calling you out on being bribed in exchange for good reviews.
I’m glad Tim is back, and I think Ram will do a complete 180 under his guidance, but unless something is done about the dealer network greed then the Mopar brand will continue to have a bad rep.
Any news on the new Dakota
How long you thinking 6mo 1yr 2yrs, I need a new truck?
Kiniskis needs to tweak a lot of product before the stench of Tavares is gone. The I6 needs a major revamp if they want to sell models using it.
I bought my RAM 1500 for it's practical convenience and luxury...the other brands don't come close!
Can we expect your review on the 2025 Ram HD on January 7th?? Thanks!
It's a 4.8 liter v8 based on the 3.6 pentastar?
If they don't lower prices it doesn't matter.......
Great to see Tim back. Here's what I'm thinking should happen.
Dodge: Ram returns to the Dodge brand and bring back the SRT performance line as part of it.
Chrysler: Add some new models and make it the luxury brand.
Jeep: The SUV lineup of course
Plymouth: Bring back the Plymouth brand and use that for EV.
MSRP is over the top but another problem are the dealer markups and they can be as high as the msrp , crooks all .
Praying Tim brings the prices back down from the stratosphere, so I don't have to sell my house to own one ...
@@hcjpbluesky9916 When you eat that bologna do you fry it first or just eat it cold.
2 door Ram RT would be nice to see again
Isn't the mustang engine not really a hemi intake across from exhause spark plug in the center of bore
They may bring back the hemi and that will help their credibility a little. They’ve taken advantage of Americans for 4 years with their crazy markups. That can’t be forgiven in my book.
I remember when you and others were telling everyone just forget V8s. Lol
Things were looking pretty grim. That said, with the new legislation, things are looking pretty bright! Let's wait and see!
