  • Claire Brock is joined by Academic Colette Colfer, Psychotherapist Richard Hogan and Rebecca Tallon de Havilland to discuss transgender life in Ireland.
No government TD was available to discuss this issue.
Colette Colfer tells Claire that she believes that "gender identity is not something that is tangible."
Colette believes that she is being "demonised," and treated like blasphemers and heretics" for her beliefs.
Richard Hogan brings up his experience working with teenagers who are questioning their identity feeling who face "internalised prejudice."
Richard states that this internalised prejudice is a societal problem that "we feed into our children."
Rebecca tells Claire hearing Colette bring up religion was upsetting as Rebecca is a Catholic and in her head believes in a loving God, not one that would demonise her.

The man with the red-ish handkerchief in his pocket is spot on. The red-headed woman seems to be confused. Or is she really saying that she does not know whether or not she is a woman?
