- Israel’s far-right leaders clashed with Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and IDF chief Herzi Halevi during a cabinet meeting June 27. Multiple reports from the meeting said National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir rejected Gallant’s support for a diplomatic solution in Lebanon.Meanwhile, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich accused military chief Herzi Halevi of “going to sleep” before Hamas’s October 7 attack. Netanyahu intervened, at Gallant’s behest, after Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Justice Minister Yariv Levin criticised Halevi. What this meeting shows is that there is no diplomatic plan for "after the war with Hezbollah" like there was never a plan for "after the war with Gaza". The IDF has grown weary of incompetent politicians setting up unrealistic expectations (Ben Gvir: "there will be no one to negotiate with after the war if we win") and then having to deliver on the ground on their behalf, when the same politicians block the army recruitment from 17% of Israel population (religious people) and use the IDF to absolve themselves of their own incompetence (the Netanyahu cabinet had asked the IDF to shift troups from the Gaza border to the West Bank to enforce stealing Palestinian lands on behalf of the settlers prior to October 7...). This discussions shows a profound divide between the military and the politicians. No amount of US logistics support (bombs, fighters jets,...) can shore up for that. Gallant on this one seems to be the voice of reason. I would not be surprised he was shown detailed maps of Hezbollah defenses... it will not be a walk in the park for Israel it is attacks the North... Shalom.

This dysfunctional cabinet should disband before they start name calling and then literally throwing punches. The infighting is too intense and will lead to irrational volatile reactions and failed decision making, like when BiBi decided to support Hamas several years ago. They blame each other because they deserve blame for such outrageous failures in judgement! Israel needs peacemakers in order to survive. This war mongering will do nothing but destroy all chances for peace, and bring everything to ruin in a chain reaction of misery and destruction.
If Ben-Givr and the other settlers want war in the north , then tell them to put a uniform on and go fight .they wouldnt last two minutes
