You guys really made something so beautiful and all the (what seem like are small but are so thoughtful and helpful) details are just amazing! Very inspiring. We have done remodeling and we understand the mess & stress (our tile guy, we found out after the fact , was on hard core drugs the entire mess of a “job” so you can imagine the mess he left inside and outside where he left the tile cutting machine we rented) we also at one time had a home built and that was stressful enough and we weren’t even the ones building so our hats go off to you guys on your resort ! We had lost or had to sell everything at one point and now are looking forward to rebuilding our lives, our futures and people like you are an inspiration especially with the same vision of doing it in Mexico 🇲🇽 we’ve been through so much but are realizing the lessons we had to learn and are thankful for everything. Actually the white linens are easier to clean stains, then colored. And we rarely use bleach. Hydrogen peroxide and stain removers work better than bleach and don't deteriorate the fabric as quickly. Our housekeeping staff is very good at getting stains out. High concentration hydrogen peroxide is your friend

1st looking goooood. All that hard work will pay off. So about the broken rib. What were you doing ? My guess is jumping for joy that you can take the odd coffee break very soon. Or even Margarita if so inclined. P n D
Thanks! The broken rib is an old injury. This is my 6th broken rib in total over 30 years, and the fourth time in the same spot on that side. Luckily it feels like it just cracked this time and it was a little crunchy for a few days but seems to have fused again. Been to the doctor for several of the previous ribs and there is nothing they can do. They don't recommend any type of wrap because that constricts the chest and often leads to shallow breathing and pneumonia. They usually prescribe rest and try to give painkillers but I can't take any pain meds since they make me very sick so I always just power through with Ibuprofen. Even major surgeries I can't take and pain meds, probably why I have an extremely high pain tolerance.
So... No pain meds and likely no rest. Hmmm. @@dooglassandesperanza

Sooo beautiful and classy! Everything is first rate, really impressed! Were you builders back in San Diego? I'm farther down in Lake Chapala and also Puerto Vallarta and still go back & forth to Cali due to family stuff and a rental there. I relate to you Esperanza - you get really good at sourcing things those first couple years! I'd be curious to pick your brain. I've been driving back and forth NOB unexpectedly over the last 1.5 years due to some deaths in the family and taking the opportunity to haul and "redistributing" some stuff I can't always get down there. Sometimes I feel like a trucker! The Keurigs are great to have as they are much less messy in a rental and then someone doesn't accidentally leave a coffee pot or kettle on. I'm a big fan of the DIY filter. It works! ;) May I ask where you got the safe? I love that you can swipe it with a credit card - very cool! I do a few boutique rentals but have not yet taken on the epicness of a new build in MX, just lots and lots of repairs and maintenance - jaja - but I've got a pool build coming up. Love your circular pool! What you did takes a lot of vision and planning & plain old fashioned hard work! Y'all did a fantastic job! Must be such a relief to have it done.

The rates are different on different booking sites. Best way to book is directly on our website www.pufferfishvillas.com at $119 + taxes (no fees). AirBnb and VRBO are $129 + taxes + fees (we don't control the fees that they add). We are going to evaluate the possibility of RVs after we get settled into operation mode. RVs are tricky because it is a much smaller up front investment, but the return on investment is very small per square foot. Our Villas will generate more than 10x per night what the same amount of land would generate as RV parking.

The prices are $119 a night through our direct booking website with no fees except taxes and 129 a night through Airbnb and VRBO. Airbnb and VRBO also collect taxes and have small additional fees from their site.

Yes we have a two kilo extinguisher in each villa and one in the laundry room as required by the fire marshal when he did his inspection

Her name is Hope but that is difficult for Spanish speakers to pronounce since the H should be silent. So most of our Mexican friends find it easier to call her by Esperanza which is Hope in Spanish.
I wouldn't go to Mexico for anything. Yuk
