Yes. Was about to post that. I keep a set of small sockets & a screwdriver with suitable end just for jobs like that. You can get the hose clamps much tighter too.
Just want to say thanks a lot for your video. Same problem and saved £230 doing it myself. I will say that it wasn't easy getting the new hose on and took 2 hours and a lot of wrestling in the cold and in confined spaces with some liberal swearing. My tips are look at the jubilee clip imprints on your old hose. You really need to get hose over the pipe. My gloves got shredded doing it but in the end I took them off and found it easier to manipulate and was more instinctive. I also found it easier to get the hose on the top manifold section first as that was trickier.
Spot on diagnosis. £15 fix and 10 minutes to mend. Funny thing was that there was no code logged. Listen for a whistle noise just before warning comes up on dash. Resets after parking up until you accelerate hard again. Short hose on its own only available as a pattern part.
Just popped my LDR4 in for Restricted Performance issue. Only seems to be an problem under load. Light came on and then cleared once I stopped the engine. Been driving it for a couple of weeks at low speed because of petrol shortage and it has been fine. Garage reckon probably a tiny split in the turbo hose which only manifests itself under high load. Really interesting to see the issue. I suspect for me with the membrane etc it is enough to keep the air in for most conditions. Thanks for posting.

A question how did you know it was the hose that caused the problem ? was there a diagnostic code that told you or did you simply check all the pipes ?
On the 2008 2.2 TD4 the OD of the pipe is 60mm, ID=55mm. I noticed the oily residue accumulating on the plastic feeder pipe and noticed an oily discharge around the intercooler inlet port. When flushing the intercooler I observed that most of the mixture was escaping the jacket and not from the port. For a 132000km vehicle I found the OEM hoses in good condition, I used diesel to clean them - a petroleum based cleaner could destroy the elasticity of the hoses. Work in a dust free environment while the hoses are off. The factory fitted intercooler does not have an MAPT sensor required by the replacement intercooler, this port can be blanked off with a bolt, washers, split pin and gasket sealer. It is important to have the nut on the outside with a stainles steel split pin. I have decat'd the TD4, replaced the egr cooler (broken) which I am bypassing. Note, the original egr cooler has one large chamber and 24 smaller ports compared to the replacement that only has 32 ports - so the cooling efficiency is bound to be different with the original ECM mapping.
