We owned fiat punto it has abs, ebd n 2 air bags from 10 years. Its built quality is very much strong. I think we indians have more attention on mileage ,interior ,comfort rather than engine , built quality n ,safety

Fiat is way ahead of its time n v Indian don't respect d technology provided v r like fools running behind a brand sorry unsafe brand which is providing some milage benefit... It's true Fiat doesn't change every year with small small tech changes coz therz no need for that it has d technology what with maruti suzuki u will have after 15 to 20 yers... But whoes bothered...

@@sasalodu It was done for European market where Lane change assistance and other advanced electronic safety was mandated. but Fiat Punto did not provide it, hence it scored 0 in Ncap. The car structure/strength is still relevant.
I have fiat punto 1.3 multijet since 2011, there is no problem in car till today. It's driving and handling is amazing even on speed upto 155 km per hour. But now fiat stopped the production of car in India, its really a shocking news for fiat old customers.

Hi Carguru Sir .....I hv linea 2010 .. 2 airbags .. All 4 seatbelts .. Seatbelt reminder ..ABS ..So all norms already met 8 years back .. Driven to 165 KMPH .. 1800 KM journey done as well without a single breakdown .. I drove abarth also and not able to register if any other car gave me that feel ..

I Say Fiat is being very intelligent, Rather than investing more and loosing money in India, They decided long back in 2012 to cut losses(Sergio Marchione ). We Indians will never buy anything with FIAT Brand, So they focused on a new Brand JEEP (but all internals is Fiat only) .
Moreover, others play without safety or environment thoughts and Fiat is into it by default. Ni govt regulation also. People di close their eyes and go after mileage....

Sir, I own Fiat Punto. I m techno person. I study most components of my fiat car. Majority of them are europian made and as per europian standard. Most parts are made in Portugal and made in Germany. Even the front and rear bumpers are fitted with 16 bolts each. ECU and electronics system is sensitive upto level, if u put higher ampere fuse, it will show error on display. Maruti and common induan buyers don't know this. Fiat is fiat. It's FIAT engine who make Maruti as MARUTI here.

I have a fiat Punto grande 2013 ..... iIcurrently live in UK and i am surprised that fiat punto is the most popular car here and is considered a drivers car even with international quality hatchbacks. i was made aware that fiat in India is closing down due to poor sales figures. I have driven Punto for near 8 years without any problems . I also own a Swift but the drive quality with maruti is a mere joke , Punto is a tank and maruti is a mere plastic stuff with higher mileage . I am very saddened that Indian customers are losing out to a world class product .....we just have no taste.........

And yes it you ask about it's built quality, it's just outstanding and ofcourse it's award winning multijet diesel engine with Swift other cars has installed in it. And also swift and others are just match box infront of fiat.
FIAT has Multiair petrol engine (working in Jeep Compass Petrol). Both these Multiair petrol engine and Multijet II diesel engine are compatable to Euro 6/7 emission norms in Europe.

Sir I love your videos but a minor correction for this video :Fiat Punto 6 airbags model with ESP has received 5 star rating in Europe. So approximately take it as 4 star for 2 airbags. zero star for no airbag,it also depends of variant of the car.The build quality of our car Punto has saved lives of people sitting at back when a speeding i10 crashed our car. And yes it was the emotion option pack ( 2 airbag model )

Fiat never launched the famous Fiat Panda 4X4 in India. They never launched Fiat Quebo, Fiat Nuovo Uno, Fiat Mobili, and their 7 seaters Doblo. They also had Fiat Argo... Hard to say, but one of the world's best small car manufacturer could not gain market in India...

Fiat made their cars for global safety standards.The whole fiat cars body shells are heavy hence safety and security is maximum provided by company.Punto and linea cars most of the parts are indigenised and their fast moving parts cheap.In diesel varient Punto and linea Engine ,Gear box and clutch parts are same as Manza and Vista,It is easily available.Engine internal parts are same as Ertiga and bressa for Linea diesel and Swift and Ritz for Punto diesel. Diesel Engine overhauling cost is affordable range for an average car enthusiasist. Oil filter,Airfilter and fuel filter same as Punto for vista and Linea for manza.
By using local made and imported parts used for suspension overhaul works cost can be minimised. Any way It is a good car with heavy body shell ,give better driving pleasure and afforfable maintenance cost...

Jeep is definitely following same path and in long run it will be very difficult for them. Plus Maruti developed their own 1.5l diesel engine, that will be used in their 3cars. Thus it also impacts sales of their engine.
Fiat is doing same mistake with Compass. You can't run company with one product.

For your information, Fiat is one of the finest car makers, not only in Indian market but globally... Punto and Linea is a testament for it... I'm a proud owner of Punto emotion pk, since 2010 and still driving, and will further drive for atleast next 1lakh kms, ...can you show me any other car in India who can match this..?
You drive a Fiat and feel the difference, honestly speaking, I find no other car in range upto 20L in India that can match this handling...
Fiat had invited all its proud buyers to their plant in Ranjangaon, and I've visited it twice...so I can vouch for its quality 👍🏻
The reason why they stopped Punto Linea is not because their cars are not good, but simply because India is s cheap market for Alto, indigo n wagonR style cars... Fiat somewhere doesn't fits in this slot, bcoz they don't ever compromised with quality, rigidity and costs...

Jeep brand hv to give Its Renegade in Indian Market as soon as possible. Compass is good but the segment in which it comes their numbers dont sell as much like Ecosport, WrV, Brezza segment or else Creta. The sweet spot for Jeep now is to launch a car in that segment whr the market is very competitive. CrossOver SuV segment is very Hot in india nowadays. ✌️

Dear Carguru, from 2004 in India, Fiat have Double striker airbags (rest hav single based), Fiat always have ABS with EBD(still 99% models don't give EBD), it hav Fire Prevention System(no car hav that disconnect fuel supply on rolling or accident), from 2005 it follow EURO5 now 6(again no cars followed), Auto open doors on accident (few SUV have, no cars hav), it had 5 ratings on old Punto, by some mistake Evo got 0 but Fiat neglected, Technologies on suspensions of fiat no car hav, 185 ground clearance no car hav, 180 speed on smooth balance no car give based on high class breaks n gr8 suspensions, Maintain temperature on piston n fuel fire no car hav, Rotational immobilizer on all fiat models: all brands only top end model hav only Immobilizer, 7 more features no other cars hav. What is cost needed to add.

Fiat company guys are very clever. They are making big money than any car manufacturer in India by selling their own tested and proved diesel engines to all Indian car manufacturers. Everyone knows engines are the most expensive part in a car. In short most of the car manufacturers are really doing hood business. All are trying hard to sell more cars, actually making money for paying bills to Fiat. What a brilliant idea !
Fiat dealership claims that they can give 2019 model of Linea 1.4 tjet petrol version. According to you they have stopped making the cars from late 2018.
Better hai TATA harrier to purchase not jeep
4x4 Jeep is best in 4x4 segment. also for high speed , highway rides, off rods. Dual zone climate control, altogether Jeep if you have money.
Compass is very superior to Harrier in terms of build quality, Handling, dynamics, ride quality, safety etc.
Jeep compass has good efficiency of ofroading as compair to Harrier. And also much premium to Harrier.

I have a punto 2012, i do above 120 mostly without abs, but never makes me feel nervous or uncontrollable, build quality is far good than swift, still gives 20 kmpl on highway.
