Last night drove my 2010 1.3 mjd Punto for 600 km,I was amazed to be reassured that it's as smooth as butter even today as it was when very new.Its stability , drivability can't be matched by anyother present day hatchbacks not even Polo!
agreed. have the first batch punto top model. engine, and everything is still smooth as today. hadn't gone to service for long , but the manager who tested it was highly amazed by the fact that it was still so smooth and stable. Polo might give more fun since it ran in india for longer with evolution over time but punto is a solid classic right there.
Owner says he had driven this at speed 120--130. Let me advice these young guys, never ( I reapeat never never ) speed up on Indian roads even if it is highway. Condition of Indian road are worst in any Stae. Your life is precious then your car. If accident happens you can replace your car but can your loved on replace you. Young boys think before you speed up . At the end of road your family is waiting for you and not your car . Be safe and drive.
Earlier it was 120, now in India we can't go beyond 100. So why waste money on some expensive luxury cars. We need a decent engine and good mid range performance and that will suffice for years. Never exceed 100/120. Waste of your life on Indian roads and waste of your money on traffic challans in thousands.
I am a proud owner of Punto diesel, awsome car. Simply awsome..its build like a tank and goes like a rocket. I have driven at 140km/ hr. It's been 9 years (1.25 lakh kms) and if govt permits..I will never give up this car. I drive in Delhi and get 16.8 avg

brother according to the low average you are facing i too had the same problem as in city it was giving 13-14 kmpl so i got the intercooler and maf sensor cleaned and the main thing i used Abro diesel injector cleaner in a full tank of diesel and to my surprise it really made a major difference so now i am getting around 18-19 kmpl in city.
Current Indian car market is tilting towards 'Performance' cars. Launching a Fiat car like Punto makes more sense now. I hope car makers like Ford grow more and more in India due to their honestly towards to 'Safety' and 'Power'

I owned this car for 5 years once i was on highway and unknowingly i was driving at 175* this car never gave any vibration any friction full on stability on road truly trustworthy only issue was service provided by FIAT

I have a 2011 model. Average is 21+ on highways while driving @90kmph, After that mileage starts dropping. City Mileage is 14-16kmpl. Hydraulic Power Steering is the USP of punto. A bliss to drive in high speeds as well as on hills. Going to keep it for many more years. Bechne wali cheez nahi ye.
Punto is the DRIVER'S CAR.....The car owner says he does rough usage of the car and yet the car gives a mileage of 19-20kms on highway... I too own a punto and it gives 15-16kms/ltr in city and upto 24-28kms/ltr on highway when driven at 80-90kms/hr speed. Mileage will drop if u rough use the car and if you drive the way the car should be driven then u get very good mileage.... Unfortunately Fiat discontinued this model.
Now I have almost drove 147000 and have raised hight too. Choice is up to you and your usage the only difference is that you will get plenty of boot space in linea and if your driving is not in city then I suggest you should go for Linea. All the best.

I think Volkswagen Polo is another drivers car and also Ford ecosport and freestyle. I have been using fiat cars for more than 15 years and still no issue with the cars and when it comes to stability the best. They don't compromise on safety.

I own 1.3 MJD dynamic model with ABS. Driven more than 1L kms and can vouch, it never got fuel average of less than 18kms with 50-50 city & highway drive even in Gurgaon traffic with AC. Have driven it across HP, UK, delhi-ncr and rajasthan. Mine is 2012 model which had weak shockers but this was rectified in 2013 and later models. Max I pushed the car was 160 with no panic or instability. Comparing it with my Swift vxi, I'd anyday choose Punto for a highway drive 🙏

@@carobsessions4707 How many kms done? - 33000 Service is on time - Yes always from FAAS, owner himself works in FIAT factory, hence he kept the car in pristine condition, was not able to believe its actually 5 yrs old car, so smooth, scratch less , new tires, new battery, comprehensive insurance till end of 2021 plus everyone's favorite red color, have paid the token amount, will get the delivery once NOC received. deal closed at 4lks, i may have paid 30-50k extra but car is really worth, haven't seen any cars close to this in Maharashtra.

Correct your knowledge, FIAT is still there as company, FIAT is having plant in Pune ranjangaon. And jeep is under FCA only.

Linea is good stable and comfortable for long trips but not quick responsive. Off road only SUV are good choice.

My 19 years old Palio still dominates the road...no cars...not a single cars can match with her though she is 19 years old... And regarding spare parts... it's still available...

Sir Kerala mein I saw a 2nd hand 2010 Punto car, the Owner is asking 2.4lakh & he will decrease only 30k. I have seen ur Previous old Punto car below 1.5 lakh so I rejected it. In Kerala 2nd hand 10yr old cars are starting price is 2lakh
I think Volkswagen Polo is another drivers car and also Ford ecosport and freestyle. I have been using fiat cars for more than 15 years and still no issue with the cars and when it comes to stability the best. They don't compromise on safety.

I own 1.3 MJD dynamic model with ABS. Driven more than 1L kms and can vouch, it never got fuel average of less than 18kms with 50-50 city & highway drive even in Gurgaon traffic with AC. Have driven it across HP, UK, delhi-ncr and rajasthan. Mine is 2012 model which had weak shockers but this was rectified in 2013 and later models. Max I pushed the car was 160 with no panic or instability. Comparing it with my Swift vxi, I'd anyday choose Punto for a highway drive 🙏

Service is on time - Yes always from FAAS, owner himself works in FIAT factory, hence he kept the car in pristine condition, was not able to believe its actually 5 yrs old car, so smooth, scratch less , new tires, new battery, comprehensive insurance till end of 2021 plus everyone's favorite red color, have paid the token amount, will get the delivery once NOC received. deal closed at 4lks, i may have paid 30-50k extra but car is really worth, haven't seen any cars close to this in Maharashtra.
