Does the engine shut off in coasting in all driving modes? (ie: Sport and Comfort) - ie: when you’re doing 50mph and let go of the accelerator pedal, does the engine still turn off? (as long as shifter is in right-side / D-mode)

Up to 37 mph acceleration, 100 mph coasting.

So what is the exact 0-60 i have head 5 seconds flat but if they say it is faster than the normal 335i and the 335i will do it in 4.8 it should do it in 4.6 ? I know its 300 pounds heavier but it also has 335 hp. I have been really curious.

Sam Lord it’s the same acceleration the horsepower difference makes up for the added weight

I suspect that AC is NOT working at all when engine is off.
With so small battery there is no way to force electric mode on. Hybrids (with no plug) can only regenerate while braking and neutral-gear coasting (also good). Everything else is not green. BMW should use 1) Li-ion 2) at least 5-6kWh battery.

AC works off the battery, and it works fine with the engine off, until the battery falls below about 10%, then the engine kicks in.
The vehicle charges the battery all the time - when the engine is running.

Mico Silver If engine is charging all the time (up to 80%?) then that is even worse than not charging as charging has its own efficiency. Multiply with ICE efficiency and multiply with converting back to AC efficiency we get VERY LOW EFFICIENT process. All that just for extra boost when needed. Not green.
Are you sure that it charges battery when in ECO PRO up to x% and cruise control activated?

Arnis Tarassu @ Arnis Tarassu, it's obvious Mico Silver has no clear understanding of the Physics behind your comment. Now, where the heck is my 1999 Nissan Micra?, At least I am certain of no charge in ECO mode of up to 99.9% as against x%.
      :)
Great review by the way Mico.
