How to Fix Airpods Pro 2 Sound Quality on Windows 11

As with all other Airpods, the Apple Airpod Pro 2's sound like absolute garbage out of the box on a windows PC. Fortunately there is a super easy way to fix that, so check out the video and let me know in the comments what you think.

it is absolutely ridiculous that in 2024 a $250 pair of headphones and a $1,000+ laptop can't work together to provide an audio experience where i can hear other people clearly and they can hear me clearly without adding a 3rd device....we have generative AI yet can't figure out this most BASIC function?

afaik the airpods mic wont work on windows, only macos. i thought i had seen some comments about it working on bt 5.2 but not sure.

ive tried doing that but since it connects as headset not headphones the audio is still bad ive disabled the headset option on the playback settings then connecting or enabling the headphones option but it just doesnt connect

Hey you all. Here is what fixed the issue for me: During a MS Teams/Zoom call, swipe your finger tip on the face of you airpod pro 2 until you hear the high pitch tone indicating it's on max volume. For some reason any other config did not work for me. Cheers.

But how come the Airpods Gen 3 work properly on Windows 11 for both Input and Output together. What's the difference here.

It really depends on the pc you are connecting to and the version of bluetooth it has on board. Apple also changed the version of bluetooth used in each iteration of their airpods.

1 year later, i can attest that my air pods gen 3 worked well with windows but my air pods pro 2 that a just bought have this audio quality problem and get beaten by some random chinese earphones 😂

its sad to see all those butt fked people complain in the comments about the fix when they should rush to return these headphones or sue the shitty company that values itself as a trillion dollar company and yet cant make compatible products. I got those pods because my fiancée had them and i love their noise reduction, but they are a pain in my ass when it comes to connecting to my pc or laptop. On win 10 i managed to figure it out but on 11 was a bit confusing. Thank you for your fix don't know what some of the people are rambling about. good video thx

Hello, I checked my Airpods pro's properties and the default format only shows 2 channels, 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality). I followed all the steps what do I do next? I hope you can help me. Thank you!

device manager-sounds-airpods-properties-advanced-16bit 4800khz. also check if you are on bluetooth 5.0,5.1,5.3,4.2 ect as this will change sound reproduction

??? You didn't fix sound quality. Output was 2 channel since the very beginning, you don't need to disable input audio for that... What you showed us that is "1 channel" format is INPUT audio, not output

Kind of missed the point there. There isn’t enough bandwidth to run both the speakers and microphone, so you turn off the mic to improve the audio quality through the speakers.
I don’t like it either, but complain to Apple
