Hey guys! Chris here from the Bourbon and Beyond episode. I love the tease that Brad and Corey dropped. Sunday feels like a Miley and Dolly, but maybe that's too obvious. Trying to think outside the box here for Thursday, maybe something like Hans Zimmer, or Danny Elfman, or even Weird Al as his tour kicks off in Vegas on that Friday. Or Maybe something crazy like Wayne Newton! Who Knows! It will be a great time no matter who it is!
Ok, long winded comment here but I figured I would go for it after hearing Brad & Cory state they actually read comments. I have been to Roo 9 times starting in 03 and on and off through the years with 2019 being my last attendance. It’s my favorite place on earth I think. Personally I’m not a big EDM fan although I do appreciate some for sure, but I totally understand the pull from the younger fans and sells tickets. I adore how eclectic the mix of genres at Bonnaroo is and I always will as I have a vast taste in what I like. I have certainly checked some boxes with nostalgia acts over the years which I love. Petty twice, John Prine, McCartney, etc.. have seen shows that surprised me like Macklemore, Childish Gambino, AJR that I was very pleasantly surprised by! Favorites like John Butler, Phish, Nathaniel Raitliff, Pearl Jam, Primus.. I have been to other festivals and Roo is the best by far. The farm is set up so well now and is very user friendly for being amongst that many people. Not that it means anything as the lineup is already locked in I’m sure.. but bands that would get me back to the farm in 25 would be… Number one, Sturgill Simpson/ Johnny Blue Skies… best tour going right now IMO. If you don’t know TH-cam it.. absolute FIRE!!! 🔥 That 2020 lineup was IMO the most perfect lineup in the history of the festival. Love the early entry option. I’m like Russ. I would totally come Tuesday, and I’m coming from Maine! 😂 I loved the comedy tent of the early years. I’m old now (40) and certainly not interested in sleeping on the ground and without AC. That being said I don’t have money to toss around which is one reason I haven’t attended in the last four years. I like less complicated options with tickets. The alà cart thing seemed a bit too complicated.. that being said.. the last time I attended I had a situation that will never be topped as far as camping and access.. too spoilt I am now ruined! 😂🤦🏼♀️
Gosh had to add.. Brandi in 2019 made me cry. Hozier was crazy awesome. Cardi B was pretty darn cool! Prine was a bucket list. Will also agree with the theme that I can’t count how many times I have looked back at lineups and kicked myself in the butt for missing certain shows a year or two before as I have been caught multiple times LOVING bands a few years after I realized I missed their sets at Roos I have attended!!! 😩 Bonnaroo and the folks behind the scenes I agree do a great job being ahead of the curve with booking acts that are about to blow up.
There should legit be an HOV lane for entry into the festival grounds. The time saved might be more value than whatever discount is given on those carpool parking passes. Maybe.
I’ve been going to bonnaroo since I was a kid my mother and practically my whole family worked for bonnaroo but no longer do work there😩 but being a kid and getting to go with my mom and do stuff other ppl didn’t get to do like ride on the golf carts get special treatment etc etc but my first show was 2008 Kanye and since then I’ve gone every year that I can it’s so magical for me and I recommend everyone to go I do miss the comedy tent and I miss watching the nba finals and I miss the high five line we def need to bring that back 😅 and the only thing I wish they would change is pave all the dirt roads that would be so nice 😅😂 but will forever come to bonnaroo and hope to one day be able to do vip and get an rv that’s the only thing I haven’t gotten to experience and it’s gonna happen one day😎😎 can’t wait to be on the farm again saying happy roo!!!🎉🫶🏻
This was perfect to listen to at work today while I'm working an extra day to help pay for 2025 tickets ♥️

Great listen. Brad and Corey sound like great, well-informed dudes. I feel better knowing they’re leading the ship
