This was such a great performance....I was there in 1994 when the NCC honoured the "two living legends"....You can feel the synergy between Kitchener and Singing Francine....She had sung chorus on many of Kitch's albums before she went solo in 1971....Now both have left us physically but the memories of both will endure forever
R.I.P Kitch & R.I.P Singing Francine (How I wish you had gotten your flowers in your later years, instead, you seemed to have been ignored! But your greatness and massive contributions will forever live on in your many recordings with a voice that was as sweet as honey. Like the Late King Kitchener, thank you, too, Queen, for the MUSIC ❤)
Nice! Nice! This does sweet me! Lord Kitchener, the Grand Master Aldwyn Roberts is such an inspiration to me. As a fiction writer, I find I have a connection with music. Mr. Roberts, Mr. Slinger Francisco--the Mighty Sparrow, Mr. Winston Bailey--the Shadow, and many others inspire me to keep writing. Give thanks! I wish I could have met the Grand Master, but I'll have to settle for listening to his awesome compositions. Let we not let his music die at all, at all.
The Legendary Singing Francine... sadly she passed away last year ... I don't like how she never really got her flowers... she was a giant in Calypso and one of the First Female Calypso Queens, up there with Calypso Rose.
Good music that instantly could be recognised as Trini but Machel and Co sold out our music to the Latinos with his stupid Miami studio music playing on a loop song after song that these days we can't recognise Kaiso/Soca from Latin beats and to add salt in our wounds their versions are all over international radios while Machel could only be heard in T&T every Carnival. Ironic isn't it? Kaiso.. Kaiso!
