I give them a solid 1,2. I'm not jumpy, and am good at counting. Slow 2 seconds followed by a pressure set(I dont power set anything but a carolina rig) has gotten me the best hookup. I don't wait on a moving bite really, I just reel faster when it resists.
In swfl zero hesitation. These fish spit almost instantly. So smart such clear water.
I agree with my fishing teacher. Caught way more fish taking my time.

Fish don't have hands,if he' s swimming off with your bait its in his mouth, why wait,if you feel a tap and unsure then wait a second, that works for me
Waiting with a moving bait is sooo hard.
I just kinda slow down. Like, "is he really in there? Oh yeah"-*REELS LIKE A BEAST*
Gut hook?
I thought about that also. I don't have as much problem as I used to, but still wait till the fish starts moving away, most of the time.
