Full version of Shoukei to Shikabane no Michi, opening to the new season of Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) by Linked Horizon!
And as the title says... it's actually quite insane, but it's playable (or so I think). There isn't much three hand technique (in fact, I don't think there really is any), but there's quite a few fast lines that require a lot of hand dexterity. The real crazy stuff in my opinion starts around 3:00.
I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed arranging it!
I also hope you have a difficult time playing this just like I wished it to be... hehehe.... (insert increasingly devilish laughter sounds here)

There are a lot of comments about this needing three hands to be played, so I'll clarify this quickly: technically, you only need two hands. It is written for a solo pianist, with a handspan of a 10th or greater (sorry small hands). Although there are some stretches that are seeminly impossible, this is because there is the use of a sustain pedal throughout the entire piece. For example, at 3:03, the left hand will play the bass octave, the foot will press down the sustain pedal, and the left hand will proceed to *release* then play the chord above. Another example, at 2:48, the big stretch on the left hand, here the right hand will be helping out and hitting that top note while the left hand hits the bass note. Then the sustain pedal can take over.
zzz - Anime on Piano for me, if you have a pedal there's no need to worry. Some other keys appear like they beed to be played but with the pedal you just need to hold them whilst playing the others.
This piece is very playable with 2 hands. Difficult? Certainly. Needing 3 hands? Definitely not.
if you dont have a 10th reach or greater than you have normal size hands not small. Lol you gotta have above average wide hands to play this.

@@terminator8487 Not sure what the length of a single piano key has to do with this but yes I've been playing piano for five years. Even so, seeing "playable???" in the title when this cover isn't even close to other anime covers such as Animenz' Unravel makes this quite the stretch.

keep at it and you will be glad you did! it’ll become easier and easier as you keep learning. remembering a few chords was difficult for me at first, too. and one of the songs i never thought i could play has become my go-to song that i always play whenever i get the chance to. you can do this.

My problem is at 3:34 the gap between the fingers on the right hand is almost 2 octaves. I haven't seen the the score for it but I'm pretty sure that should be impossible. As well as the left hand on those held notes. I dont doubt that he can play this but it seems that he made it look harder than it's supposed to be

I actually played this song (no cut, this score) and when I went to another country and played this song, they praised me for the difficulty of it. Saying “this HK kid is insanely good at piano” but if I have to be honest, I will tell you no. Anyone (with 4th grade) can play this song, it only took me 3 months to master it. Though I forgot how to play it now, it will always stay in my heart as one of my proudest moments and my favourite song and score.
So for the ones who think it’s impossible, I am a living evidence telling you that it’s possible and you can do it!

Hey i have some advice for the people who want to learn this: I'd sudgest you play it from 0:00 to 0:21 for the interlude
