Man, those early PG days when they would outright halt matches to stop bleeding was infuriating. The same thing happened in the Cena vs. Lesnar match at Extreme Rules. They've gotten way more lenient about it now, but it was so frustrating then.
I understand their reasoning. It's irritating but understandable in those other matches. But if they're taking that policy seriously, why not just NOT put on an annual PPV called Extreme Rules? I know that phrase is meaningless by now, but even by their standards that's just stupid. "Extreme Rules, this Sunday" (with no blood, chairshots, profanity, table spots, or use of any weapons beyond stairs, fire extinguishers, exploding TVs, and the giant mallet of a demon that we fired)

Hey, I was at this show. It was a bit of a mess. Randy destroying his shoulder very clearly for the whole crowd to see. Punk getting split wide open, then having to watch him get his head shaved while still bleeding. It’s a night I’ll never forget
The "True Story" series is absolutely one of my favorites!! Thank you, as always, Jack! This PPV was during a period in which I didn't watch as much wrestling as usual. Therefore, I wasn't aware of the injury issues during the card. Thoroughly enjoyed the video!! 👏🏼👏🏼

I was at the Raw where Buzz Aldrin hosted. Edge beat Christian in a match they had for fun because Christian wasn't Edge's scheduled opponent. We were in Toronto so we were just happy to see them. Only good thing on that show. Also Santino got kind of a home town pop cause he's from Toronto but not in kayfabe so not everybody knows that but I think he was on the main event or superstars taping. Mauro Ranallo and Renee Paquette were on the Score talking about WWE not yet working there and Mauro thought it was shit. He was right.

Yep, really well written stuff, excellent presentation and dived into detail enough to bring back memories of watching that show. Great take on the perhaps forgettable Over The Limit, but I do remember Orton's shoulder injury from the mat punch, Punk's awesome SES mask and the AA off the car spot, so it's got its moment in history.
If that Randy Orton condition true, wouldn't that really mean Mr. Kennedy didn't purposefully injury Orton rather it was a combination of factors and it could of happened with any wrestlers besides Kennedy
It is a true condition. A couple of years later Randy was briefly on the internal injured list because he messed up his shoulders by throwing out the trash at his house. That being said, Orton wasn’t the first person to complain about Mr. Kennedy, so I wonder if his was the straw that broke the camel’s back rather than a single incident causing Ken to be fired.
I always thought for Punk it must have really sucked to handcuffed and have your head shaved while bleeding out of hour head so much. Man had to walk backstage with hair and blood all over his face.
Dude, we need an epic 24/7 title match at Mania, between Truth and Reginald, with them just popping up randomly throughout the show.. You know, exactly what they do now, but stuff actually happens. Hell, you could retire it by making it a greatest 24/7 champ match or some shit. Obviously, Truth would prevail, then move on to bigger and better things, by squashing the Tribal Chief in the main event.

Don't forget that one Summer Slam match between Cena and Batista where Cena leapt off the top turnbuckle, Batista got underneath him, caught him, and then Powerbambed Cena resulting in Cena rupturing a disc in his neck and Batista pulling his hamstring!
