I never heard of Willie banks before,but immediately when I heard him sang god is still in charge,I felt his music deep inside like we walked the same journey,very profound spiritual gospel music,I honestly wish that the modern gospel musicians would go back to this kind of soul touching and spirit moving kind of gospel music.R.I.P Mr. banks.
Willie Banks was awesome. So goes the church, so goes it's music (and everything else associated with it). Unfortunately, the best days of Gospel music are far behind us.

Lord Have Mercy! Glory To God! This is probably my favorite Willie Banks song......its beautiful..I love how vocally diverse he is on the track and the arrangement is on point. Im arguably one of Willie Bank's biggest fans ever. Started listening to his songs when I was just 4....he died a couple of years later unbeknownst to me. Hate that I never met him..BUT I will see him in heaven one day :-)
cpl holder I meet him several times in concert. he always put on a spiritual filled show. my favorite are "old time hymn medley, what more do I need, god is still in charge,the things I can't change"..... .check them out...

I’ve always wondered if Lee Williams considered Willie Banks to be a musical influence. Because their styles and even their stage personalities are very very similar. They are also both from Mississippi. I do realize that Banks passed away before Williams the QC’s started to get widespread exposure.
