Coming from the Pixel 5 and the 5a being 60hz... I honestly can't really notice the difference between the 90hz and 60hz, unless I'm really focusing on it.
Do you have a 3 or 3xl hanging around? I'm a huge front facing stereo speakers, nut,,,and I love the pixels, BUT! Am disappointed they went to bottom firing speaker after the 3. What's your take? The Nord2 camera is much better spec-wise, as the Pixel has a 4-year-old sensor. The photos are great on the Nord2 main camera and very close to the Pixel and if you know what you are doing and edit them the Nord2 wins.
Also check out Speedtest G, the Nord2 performance matched the S21Ultra! It also has faster refresh and much after charging. In the UK it is also cheaper by £50 and you get an £80 free gift. The Nord2 is much the better choice!
People always complain about the 90 hertz display, but having 60 hertz makes the battery life better. While having 90 of 120 hertz are nice to have, I’d rather have better battery life especially on Pixel devices where I’ve had issues with battery and brightness. I wound up getting the 5a 5g on Black Friday for $399. I’m definitely hoping this is better with battery life and brightness.
Why didn't you just use Eufy app on your 5? Should've left it off the 5a while testing it out. Otherwise a solid review. btw, I also appreciate 5a having a metal unibody. like the 5 but without the cutout. Also, it's supposed to be dark green 😉
Google? Bring the Pixel 5a to Germany / Europe! We need this, not the crap 4a with a smaller Battery without IPx... I would like to buy the 5a. I deliberately did not buy the 4a because it is a bit small, the battery is smaller, it is not waterproof and it is only made of plastic. I would buy the Pixel 5a immediately if it comes to Germany.
Google have only made a few of these due to chip shortages so do not expect supply until next year if then? They are selling to their two main markets and am not sure how many they sell in Germany and whether they as bothered with Germany, or the UK?
It's evel smaller, than you'd think since the AR has been changed - up from 19.5:9 to 20:9 so the width is even smaller than in the 4a 5G. The only benefit is the cell

I ordered a Pixel 4 a on 8/16 and freaking Google announces the 5a the next day. Cost me a $35 restock charge to return the other and get the 5a. Received the 5a in a smushed box and the 5g service doesn't even work. I get 0.6 Mbps. Opened support tickets with T-Mobile and Google - no luck. Phone is nice (heavy) but connectivity is important. Numerous calls to both parties and they couldn't get LTE or 5G working. Maybe I got a lemon. Not happy with the Pixel 5a right now at all. Great on paper, but not in real life.

It will sell a few to hardcore Google fans, but the reality is that average consumers can get better for less. Keep your expectations low and this will be okay and with the chip shortages, it is unlikely such a small buyer like Google could get any more modern better chips? I have the Pixel 4a 5G and it is fine, don't believe the promo reviews, it is nothing special and the camera is no longer a defining feature as others have caught up. For a basic user, it chugs along nicely, but do not expect great frame rates on games, or photos to render instantly, or any intensive workload to be fast? The bigger battery is okay but I get two days on the 4a 5G so an extra 20% for a casual user will give little benefit as mine can easily get through a very busy day with legs to spare! Although an underwhelming update, it is better in a few regards to the Pixel 4a 5G so if you are not worried about having a dated camera and SoC and no higher refresh then this is okay, but remember there are far better choices out there!

I find this video very boring because it lacks plot. I think the guy doesn't script his content so ends up turning round and round but at the end doesn't mean anything. Great audio great picture quality but content is meh
Not everyone has the money to buy egregiously expensive flagships, and to be honest, quite a few people who could afford them (like myself) don’t really want to spend that sort of money when I could just buy something like this that offers everything I want, plus some other things as well. Mark my words, the Pixel 6 is going to be a flop, but the “a” series platform is tried and true, and they’re going with a formula that works. Oh, and you still get the charging brick, and the ability to use wired headphones in a dedicated port while also charging your phone without buying a stupid dongle for it, whereas flagship phones don’t even include a charger anymore, much less a headphone jack. Specs on this are improved from the 5, such as the bigger display, and the much bigger battery, not to mention again, the headphone jack. Flagships have turned into a scam as companies take away features and essential products that are needed alongside the phone, all the while pretending it’s to save you the consumer money, and to protect the environment.
The 4a 5G was 500, w/o metal body & IP rating, plus smaller battery. The IP rating tends to push prices up quite a bit. Probably why there's no 90Hz either.
So the phone is apparently metal with a coating on it, like the Pixel 5. I called it plastic. Sorry for that error.
